Davyo
Thank You, to the 2 lads who stood at the opposite end of the field I was shooting this morning firing into flocks of birds 500 Mtrs from you that you had no chance of hitting. It only took me an hour to set up under the flight line which you tried your very best to put birds off flying over my pattern. You knew I was there and where the birds where heading, you purposely ruined what could of potentially of been a very good day. Thank you & hope somebody returns the favour one day.By the way what where you shooting walking the margines?thought rough shooting season was finished. retromlc
I get that with another syco shooter who has loads of permission to shoot everywhere, but is aggressive and intimadating behaviour,he will stand in the field you are in and discharge a shotgun as soon as anything is in sight.Or let off those massive catapult banger bird scarers.I gave up in the end and don't shoot the 2500 acres I had
Cranfield
Surely a word with the landowner might curb their behaviour.

Fat bloke
I find it hard to believe that some people are allowed to go out on their own, never mind given a SGC. Sorry to hear of your bad experiences. Regards. Fatty

I had been decoying all day and had about 25 in the bag. Next thing I knew 3 blokes turned up and stood behind the hedge i had set up on. They were on their own land so no use complaining to the farmer. In the end i packed up as they were shooting at all the birds that were coming into my decoys. They knew I was there too!!! Davyo
It has really got my blood boiling, really felt like dumping all my decoying gear in the skip on the way home.I have been out every Friday and every weekend since end of November & the only day when it' looks promising this happened. What I can't understand is if it where me I would of kept well out of the way or came over and asked if I could walk birds of other areas.Or they could of easily gone in the other direction but no,they decided to walk in the direction of incoming birds although off the flight line but with the knowledge that I was decoying under that line. And when they started firing at birds 500 plus metres away I packed up and went home. Called my shooting buddy wasn't very happy as he had been watching that field for weeks and put me on it today. He's going to have a chat with the farmer. If he starts just tell him to **** off, but only once, Take your shooting buddy with you, when he starts just damn right ignore the tool, you have the land owners permission and as much right to be there as he has, Do you get my drift, Atb Flynny Edited February 13, 2015 by flynny

Paul taylor
Sorry to hear about this Davy, keep your chin up pal and keep at it, hopefully they won't be there next time mate.
THE MEK
Spoke to the farmer about this, and he hasn't given anyone permission who owns the vehicle Davy mentioned. One of the neighbours has cctv so the recordings are being looked at ,to try and get a vehicle reg. Possibly a case of armed trespass, cannot believe people put their SGC on the line muppets ! Mentalmac
I had this a while back from the landowners new neighbour (broght a little cottage adjoining with a small garden) he just walks around when he feels like it - at any time. Dangerous. I had set up my decoys and had a few in the bag and was starting to get better (which is amazing for me as I don't often get enogh to decoy) and he and his wife and some friends decided that they were going to walk around and with a glass of claret each and just sit there in open view and smiling at me and waving (being nice to be fair)... real odd. Longbower
I have given up my syndicate place because the farmer lets quad bikes, and dog trainers. onto the same land as the shooters, at the same time. (He likes money you see). You have my sympathies mate. 'Standing your ground', to someone who doesn't like confrontation can be very scary. I hope you get it sorted. superspark
There is nothing worse than some idiot being stupid when they know you are there. Unfortunately the world is full of ****tards and we just have to work tound them. Ive been out decoying before and they come out and act like idiot's. Keep your chin up and don't lose faith bud. These idiot's soon give up and go and crawl back under the stone from which they came.

fieldcraft
Just been out to a field I've been watching all week. Been seing a lot of pigeon activity especially the last two days anyway upon arrival thought to myself looks very quite in the woods and surrounding trees where they've been recently then noticed a Jeep parked the other end of the field and a man was sat right in the flight line reading a book when he see us got up got in his Jeep and drove off into the distance. Just amazes me when people think they can just park up walk on private property and chill out. Also got a serious rubbish problem in hedge rows from young lads drinking and throwing cans down everywhere picked a lot up but come bk 2-3 days later bk to square one. WelshMike
A sad tale indeed. It still disgusts me how vindictive some people are. Jut to lighten the mood and in similar vane to fieldcrafts last post one farm where I shoot has a small parking area 50 yards or so from a country lane where the farmer normally leaves a slurry tanker. A family parked up and started having a little picnic. Amusingly they obviously didnt know what a crow scarer was and must have wasted some good food and drink when it went off and scared the living daylights out of them.
