Albert 888
Cz 527 hs kevlar varmint 24"barrel 1/9" twist. It has a kevlar stock and a mid weight barrel and a faster twist than the standard 1/12. Ideal for fox varminting and target. Only down sides are they only do a 5 shot mag. JRDS
Stretch a few more £ and buy a Cooper from Brian Fox, they are worlds apart from mainstream rifles..
Savhmr
Tikka T3 or used Sako 75. If you want to stretch to about £1300 then you owe it to yourself to check out the new Schultz & Larsen B97. It's a thing of beauty, lovely engineering and hand finished and oiled stock with interchangeable barrels. I'd say the match of the Sauer 202 or better in quality, for half the price. Brock & Norris import it and Ivybridge Sporting I think are dealers. Why anyone would want a Remi 700 action comparing it to the aforementioned is beyond me, especially given the drop in quality over the past number of years. the enigma
Just back in from zeroing a new to me, factory Tikka T3, in .222 though. No faffing or tinker required, it just shoots. Edited October 16, 2015 by the enigma
Scully
Another vote for the T3. They're popular for a reason.
jam1e
Tikka T3 with a 1-in-8" twist. CZ 527's are very good value for money, and very accurate. I've had both, but the CZ is not a patch on the Tikka T3..
maxwell
another vote for the Tikka T3, they shoot straight out of the box and are accurate, you very rarely here of a problem or fault. if you require the 1:8 twist for the heavier bullet/rounds check for lead time as there was a wait
