It isn't everyone cup of tea, and I will only do it with people I have shot with for a very long time or people who I have absolute trust in, for hopefully obvious reasons. The beaters would be wearing blaze so can be seen from a very long way off even in quite thick scrub, and they tend to be a long way behind the pigs. The biggest risk is to dogs are are in amongst the action, as with anything you have to be 100% sure about the shot before taking it, you just get less time to make that assessment.
