Bring on Ireland!!

Ah the Bravado..England have had two decent wins over Teams they would be expected to beat 9 times outa 10' although it has to be said both them teams have from what i can see' Have improved signifcantly so they were good results.

I would get the "Bring on Ireland" if it was a fully fit Squad that was heading to Twickenham with two wins under their belt and not a Side that has lost one and drawn one, and with a Squad depleted with injuries and Key players missing.Given these Circumstances and the fact England have Home advantage next week I think it will be a very tall order for Ireland to come away with anything and fully Expect an England win. That Said it is England v Ireland after all and nothing should come easy for either Teams. The results of next weeks games should give a better bearing on things as to where the Championship is going.

Ireland I feel already have lost grip on one of the handles and the other is getting very slippy.!

Yeah.it was said more due to Ireland being our next game, not so much a bravado thing.

Bad injury list for Ireland, lots of key players as you say, but sounds like Sexton should be fit which is a boost as he's so dangerous from the boot.

Still hoping for a good game though as in fixtures like these, form counts for nothing. I agree though, sitting 4th with 1 pint, could be a tall order.

It`s National sport, if you can`t show a bit of bravado then, when can you? :)

Ireland`s situation is unfortunate but with any sport, and rugby more than most, injuries happen and teams can`t always field their best players. England can only play the opposition that`s put in front of them. History will only record the result of the match, not the circumstances and what-ifs.

I`m pretty sure Ireland will give a good account of themselves and will leave the field with their heads held high, whatever the result. But as you say it will be a tough game for them, especially at Fortress Twickenham.

I wonder where all the Scottish aficionados of Rugby are? When they won 1 more game than England in the World Cup, they were unbearable for months. Now England have won 2 more than them in the 6 nations (so far.) Stand up and take the gloating like we had to.

I have soft spot for Scotland, was at twickenham for Aussie game...at least they have players trying to play proper running rugby, good 1/2 backs under rated centres and fab full back...they ain't far away from taking some good scalps and at least are good to watch.

Right fella's..I cant do multi Quotes as i always seem to mess them up.

DannyS.. I took you You up Wrong...But see reply to Dangermouse for more .Enjoy the games over the weekend Fella.. :good:

Dangermouse..Totally agree...But I couldnt be letting you English Lads get carried away now..Could I..? lol

I would rather see two teams at full strength and things swinging back and forth rather than a one sided affair..Guess that could be said about all sports.

Dougall..I woud agree with that...I was happy for Rory Best to get the Captaincy as it was totally deserved but I feel Ireland are lacking any real leaders on the field and I dont think he has the same presence as the likes of O'Connell or BOD..That said its a team sport and the rest have to take responsibilty aswell.

England are in a very good place and a Win tommorrow would set them up nicely for a chance at the Triple Crown' although im sure Wales could very well be intent on spoiling the party.

Of course the Slam is also very much alive for England and the Championship is def looking likely although the French are also in a good situation. Tonights game Should tell us more.

Looking forward to a good Weekend of Sport

Yep very much looking forward to this weekends games. Fell that they could all be pretty close!

Scotland really need a win big time!

England v Ireland is at Twickenham which I think gives England a slight advantage (only slight mind!)

Tonight, I would say Wales are favourites, by a small margin, but the way the 6 nations goes these days if France find some flair they could well do it!

Still a few beers and some 6 Nations rugby, sounds like the recipe for a good weekend!

Enjoy the games all.

Cheers

Aled

I like the way the Welsh are playing -tight defence, strong ball carriers, individual flair and most of all their ability and desire to off load in the tackle.

The offload is key to the modern game. Some teams just don't take the risk and suffer as a result (Ireland ). The Welsh are embracing it and play with flair, brutality and unpredictability.

Joe Schmidt is risk averse. That is how he has kept his jobs. But the individual brilliance he worked with at Leinster and initially with Ireland is not there any more. His core of world class players has effectively been wiped out (through injury and retirement ). He has been forced to take a couple of risks with this week's selection and I for one am excited about it. Especially the two 6 foot 4 centres. But if any of the new boys miss a single tackle, it will be a very long time before they play in green again.

Well from what ive ceen if the indisicpline continues like today wales will have no problem ending your title hopes......

And from what I have Seen it could be a close run game . Hopefully England win . They were all over Ireland mainly but could not capitalise . It's a new team with a new coach . Not bad for their 3rd game ey ? 3/3 ain't bad . Wales may be their nemesis but I feel England have plenty in the tank to do better .

Not happy with the points left on the field though. When North et al. run in points in two weeks we have to take our chances better.

Wow. I guess you're a glass half empty type of guy?

Look where we were under the zombie, humourless leadership of Lancaster, look where we are now.

Wales haven't got a hope.

Got to agree, not so much the yellow cards but the penalties given away in kickable range.

IMO we need to get an out and out 7 playing, injured at the moment but Ewers from Exeter would do well, also can't see Ford and Farrel at 10 & 12 a long term solution Slade back to fitness would do well, but if go to play two fly halves why pick two very similar ones ? i'd of thought Cipriani and one of the others would add creativity, also Farrel and Brown need to sort out the petulance and cheap shoves after the whistles gone, if a forward did what they do at least once pretty much every game they'd be pinged.

But on the whole Eng played well with more threat and purpose than in the first two games, can't see us beating Wales but it will be a clash of defence for sure.

 Wales are the epitome of the hope of expectation over reality. Has something happened between the last time I watched them play and now, that I've missed?

got to start with Danny Care.Ford had poor game today......I would go Cipriani we cant keep getting on top of teams without scoring..........Youngs is too slow in the pass always takes a step too far......get rid.
