Les*1066
I don't suppose the antis will let the truth get in the way of a good story.
Pheasant Feeder
I'm guessing Jeremy Vine won't be doing an half hour feature on Radio 2 about how geese can die of natural causes, whilst villagers are happy to fabricate statements regarding men with rifles and blue 4x4's. BangBangNik
Just another black mark against the law abiding gun owners.
secretagentmole
Well I have asked Mr Vine, very politely, too give the true story out on air as an apology to air rifle owners following the discovery of Pinocchio in Sandon, however I also bet him in the last line of the email that he would not bother to do so! motty
I'm surprised all the flat badgers on the sides of the road aren't blamed on shooters.

Danger-Mouse
I'm surprised all the flat badgers on the sides of the road aren't blamed on shooters. Didn`t you see the PETA video someone posted the other day? It`s our fault pheasants get run over.

I'd say its pheasants fault for not listening to the hedgehogs... Stop look listen, look again.
NickS
When I was a kid, I never thought Tufty was a great rôle model for how to cross the road safely since it was clear that so many of his mates failed to take his advice.

rodp
Our local evening paper ran an update on the story but they still insinuated it could be air rifle shooter.
old man
Antis, misguided individuals and reporters never let the truth get in the way of a good story that massages their egos?

Cranfield
It will be interesting to see if these findings get as much publicity as the, "shot by rifle from passing car" stories.
NickS
Why was it buried instead of eaten? I suppose it depends how long after its demise that it was found..... To quote my mother: "There are starving children in Africa who would have been glad of that food".

To quote my mother: "There are starving children in Africa who would have been glad of that food". Simple, soft bleeding idiots. There was an appeal by Heacham Village Council to re-home some of the ducks that inhabited the village pond many years ago, they got upset when some of the old locals went down there and literally wrung the necks of the ducks prior to taking them home to enjoy a nice warm life....
