steve_b_wales Posted April 13, 2016 Report Share Posted April 13, 2016 To enable the poles to fit into hard ground, I made a few 3x2" wooden wedges, and drilled holes into them to hold the poles. Not camp out in it And we don't want to carry the unneccessary weight of big heavy spikes. With the guy ropes and pegs my hide will stand up in any wind that I want to be out shooting in. Very handy bit of kit is the bottom end of an ex-MoD trip flare ground spike suitably attached to the bottom end - and there's no guy ropes to trip over! bit of Sniper Tape, Where would we be without it? marsh man Posted April 25, 2016 Report Share Posted April 25, 2016 I bought four brand new hide poles with a carrying case yesterday at the game fair for £25 .00 , kick plate on the bottom and for the money very good quality , save all that knocking a spike in the ground first and if an ole skin flint like me think they are good value then you boys would think they were a complete bargain .
