fortune
stop answering this thread I have heard enough I wish I had never asked for advice .i got the jist from the first reply with out Half the forum telling me the same all I asked was can you shorten a choke YES. OR NO. Would have been fine We don't want to stop answering the thread coz it is sport & entertainment. It's your gun and you can do as you please with it. Anything can be done with anything given enough time and money but in this instance the cost of modifying will probably be more than the gun is worth. Where is the choke that was fitted in the barrel?

Guest
There was no choke with the gun that is why I am looking for one that fits but is hard as this is. A mark 1 820 there is not much out there for it even chambers have nothing for this version .i did not expect there to be 2 versions of the same gun .you would have thought that is one Turkish made the 820 and sopped the other 820 version would be called something else so there was a difference between them .but not with great British blow how .we will just confuse people that it's the same model

B25Modelman
He just said there was no choke with the gun as it got fixed choke. Can't see where the OP said that it was fixed choke. He states the threading is in a different position to his other 820. I think he has the answer and more sarcastic replies are just confusing the OP. So as not to get it confused with the other style, make a sketch of the choke style you want, with a few dimensions, photograph the sketch and attach it to the post. Brodie
Teague's website give some dimensions for all the aftermarket chokes - overall length, thread length and position. I understood the later Webley was made by Armsan so have you tried their chokes? Bearing in mind the age of the gun; is it worth the bother?
