BrowningB525
Browning and beretta (especially of that age) are both brilliant. They tend to fit differently though. Choose whichever fits best you can't go wrong with either.

Kalahari
It really is fit. They are both excellent guns. David. PS. Browning etc.
figgy
I prefer the Beretta of that era, the Brownings can rust as soon as you look at them. But just as others have said try them s.and whichever fits best. Bit of a ford v vauxhal type thing with b guns
theshootist
I personally prefer the chopper lump barrels and full width hinge pin of the Browning. The beretta is shallower in the action though. You could buy either in confidence, just pick the best condition one you can find. sishyplops
Browning no question, is the beretta not a 686S I thought the "E" was much later , if it's an "S" then either , whatever fits not many people shoot both (well apart from me lol)
Longman
Looked at the Beretta, and it looks USED and the browning feels better when mounting going to see if they will let me run it down to the clay range tomorrow for a quick session
MrPhantom
Another vote for Browning. I've owned both (if it is a 686S) and always preferred the fit of the Browning. Rust was never an issue with mine - I believe the 325 doesn't have the chrome lined barrels of later models but don't let that put you off. 222mark
The 325 is the best japanese browning ever built.
billytheghillie
I had a 686e and got rid for a B525, ( I know your looking at B325) and honestly the Browning just feels so much better, and I shoot better with it.
wascal
I've had a 325 from new , I really like it.
theshootist
I've read (on here perhaps) that chrome barrels are more difficult to raise a dent on. Certainly the barrels on my 325 are still perfect on the inside. If you can find the extra to biy a higher grade then I think the GD5 325, which logic would say may have been used less than a standard gun, makes a fantastic buy today. sishyplops
I believe the 325 had chrome lined barrels it was the chambers that weren't, only the late ones around 93/4 were chromed chamber, some were invector plus choked as well (mine was a gd 6 1994 inv plus wish I still had it)
Nmb
I have shot a 1989 beretta 686s since I was 12 and it's done everything I could want and is still tight and barrels are in good condition. Beretta don't seem to be popular on here but you won't go wrong if you choose one. Also Brownings are great too from my experience. fortune
I've got a b325 g5 and a 686s and I love both of them. the 325 G5 has better wood and more ingraving but that is all just cosmetics. I dont have any problems with shooting either of them but two of the son in laws who are pretty good shots just dont seem to be happy shooting the Browning. I dont know what it is because it doesnt affect me but some people can shoot the berreta and not the browning and some the oter way round. You really have to have a couple of goes with each to decide. OR take no notice and just shoot the blighter.

bruno22rf
Bought a new Beretta and sent it back within days because the quality was absolute pants - was sent a 525 as a replacement and there is no comparison. That said you MUST MUST MUST try both guns before you buy either because they handle and shoot worlds apart.
