Pigeon Shredder.
I seem to be amassing a lot of .17/.22 rimfire cases, does anyone have a use for these/how do you dispose of them.
rimmie
Chuck them in the bin mate, I’ve always just binned mine. Shotgun cartridges too.
spandit
I've used 22LR cases as rivets for leatherwork - trim down to the length you want, flare one slightly with a tapered punch, then press together in a vice. I've also done the same to make pivots for a 3D printed gravity hook: HMR cases are long enough to use as lanyard tubes when knifemaking, although they're not parallel sided and not terribly thick. I've also used cases as electrical contacts/crimps and if you can cut down the middle and unroll, you have a useful piece of brass shim/washer. I have a damaged .223 case I use for holding spring wire into a groove on the mandrel when I make magazine springs too. I've used them as one time hole punches as the ends are reasonably sharp I've heard of people using them to make powder dippers and end caps for paracord jewellery. With enough of them you could probably fill a bag to use as a shooting rest or failing that, melt them down and cast something in brass! cooter
When the shooting wagon is full I clean it out and put them in the recycle bin. I like Vince's post though. ?

Do you need to remove the primers from the cf brass?
ClemFandango
I get whatever price they are paying for brass, I don't remove any primers. I think the last time I went in I had 20Kg ish (two big tubs full) which was about fifty quid worth. It took a while to find a scrappy that would take them though. That's the trouble I don't know of a scrap dealer round these parts who will take them anymore.

Yes we have done that in the past at the cricket club. Make holes about 3" deep with a pointed fishing umbrella spike and dropped in old copper rivets

It's in the rim. I repsoned to that post by saying that I don't remove the primers, referring to my fullbore brass, which I scrap, along with my rimfire brass. spandit
So aside from scrap or littering nobody else has anything useful to use them for? Stop baiting each other. It was a simple misunderstanding
