so if moving to steel shot is fait accompli whats the cheapest for clay dusting ? i recently was shocked when i bought a slab of eley ecowads ( as a test) and was asked for £94 a *slab*

are there any steel loads suitable for clay dusting that are fibre wad / biodegradable wad  reasonably priced ? going on to just cartridges and selecting, clay -> non toxic shows zero results

Anyone ?

I beleive gamebore do a bio degrade wad but similar money if not more than the eley.

As far as i understand it you will be fine to continue shooting clays with lead and plaswads. Shooting live quarry is what is set to change. Cartridge manufacturers will no doubt come up with a cheaper wad or at least i hope so.

Cheapest way to load steel for clays is to use indicast shot. "it was called indi cast by BPI in the early 2000s"  Which is in fact Steel blast shot. Last i got about 18 months ago was £40 plus vat. for 28KGS of S& that is  2.8mm  i get it from a firm called McANTS in Dinnington. but other firms sell it countrywide.

No indication from any organisation to my knowledge that clay shooting will be affected.

Crack on with lead.

where are you seeing gamebore super steel for 152/1000 ? just cartridges is 236/1000 cheapest

VIP steel are the cheapest they seem to have at 221 / 1000

also not sure what subsonic shooters are going to do ? bismuth only ?

Just cartridges, search 'shop', 'clays' then scroll. I normally use 21gram for clays so that's what I'll try. They also do 24 and 28.

These guys give their hardness in mohs which are not normally I think associated with metals and is difficult to compare with the CIP Rockwell  spec'. Which do you use, please?

aah my apologies it seems that JC have the non toxic flag inconsistently applied - when you look you can see them at the price you indicated

if there is a bio degradeable wad option for 150/1000 i will swap for clay shooting just on cost alone
