ditchman
cut and shaped the pommel..........sanded the antler and put it thro 3 stages of polish using a lamb fat medium block...which puts some colour back into the surface...... its all together and dry finished ....need to repolish the blade and fitings and finally rivet and sharpen......... im pleased how the blade follows the curve of the handle...and it sits well in the hand and feels balanced....... JDog
For those that don't understand these things the antler required is very specific. I sent Ditchman all sorts of antler including some from a Fallow deer and he threw the whole lot in the bin.
