hare coursing

Just read about keeper nr Sandringham attacked by 3 men with dogs coursing hare on newly cut fields They were caught 4 dogs with them all from Wisbech area. how bad is it in your area?

I think anywhere there are hare's is bad, I often see gates pulled off, tracks all over the fields where a certain group of peoples who live outside the law have done whatever they please. When I had a Subaru Forester Turbo I had a group of Irish accented men drive alongside hanging out the window offering to buy my car. They like the huge moon roof for driving around fields with dogs on the roof ready to let them.off to course.

My mate went out last night and run into some. By the time the old bill turned up 40 minutes later they had long gone

Funny thing is when Coursing clubs were allowed to run greyhounds or lurchers legally this type of thing wasn't as common as fields where keepered.

I know loads of shooting lads that voted to get fields sports banned, because they hated hunting dog lads. Same with fishermen, ban it all... Except fishing of course.

Couple of hundred years ago they would have been shot or hanged. I think there should be more powers given to gamekeepers and landowners to deter these people

if had been anywhere else other than sandringham............the cops would have taken 3 days to turn up

i must say they are fairly good in wisbech i have seen them a few times after hare coursers in fieilds even with the helicopter  but thats the only crime they do move themselves

See them fairly often around where I am in North Lincolnshire.

I don’t like to say fortunately but he was shot in the chest with a stone from a catapult,  that’s when the police start reacting. We have them regularly and it’s only when they do something like this that the police really act

They were told they were very naughty boys and not to do that again or the policeman will be very cross with them

I’ve called the local police three times this year after seeing “them” in fields around us whilst driving.

No trouble here, it’s also still legal. I suspect the two may be related.

Would be interesting to see what happened  if they turned their attention to her maj' nearby estate....

I think if they were on her Majesty estate it might be some others that get a grip of them not the police.
