Yes Brexit has caused issues, literally NOBODY said it would not. There would be short term disruption , it was fully expected, then covid happened , and Brexits issues are dwarved. Every country that drives cars, or use fossil fuels, has dealt with at least one country that abuses its citizens rights. Vote and try to change things, maybe they will just get elected and forget what they promised, maybe not. Or don't vote, and let them do as they want? It's that simple. Eventually, Brexit happened, most politicos didn't want it, but by sheer force of vote numbers it got forced to be. That's democracy. Some might call it populist, or slogan driven, it matters not. It happened because more people wanted than didn't. Again, that simple.

With the cheap foreign work force now leaving, simple market forces will rightly push those wages back to where they should be, the recent discussion on hgv driving is a perfect example. But then I'm sure your not really naive and knew all that already, you just don't want to admit it. You accuse me of putting words into your mouth then try to tell me what I really think. You have proved my earlier point about the extremes. The constant reference to Remoaners is irksome. I will not respond in kind with references to Brexitards as it brings me down to your level. Patiently looking forward to all the pending positives of Brexit… By the way, the lack of manpower in unskilled and part skilled jobs is the tip of the iceberg, there’s a massive skills shortage at the highly skilled end of the market (all markets). It’s a global issue but feel free to spin a positive Brexit slant on this and tell us all how Brexit has made us more resilient to this, and many other things. The reality is that in the sectors I work in Brexit has made the U.K. increasingly irrelevant from a global perspective. Irrefutable fact. The reality is that in the sectors I work in Brexit has made the U.K. increasingly irrelevant from a global perspective. Irrefutable fact. You implied I was some sort of racist wanting to stop all the "forigeners taking our jobs", I've read your posts on here and your far from stupid, so you know what you were doing. Its not about that, for me, Brexit was in part giving some power back to those who for too many years have had none, they've been forced out of jobs, or made to take jobs, working long hours for low pay. Explain to me how those peoples lives won't now improve. If employers want to fill those gaps they're now going to have to offer the appropriate wage that has been supprresed for so many years. The thing is, the country doesn't revolve around you or me, my interests will probably take a slight hit to, but brexit has undoubtedly been a win for the working masses, if your earning less than 50k a year but particularly the lower end or minimum wage, the gig economy ect, Brexit is going to be a win. I make enough to live very comfortably. Ludicrously rich, large company owners will now only be slightly less ludicrously rich, but to their employees, there will be a life changing difference, which is what I voted for, theyre even considering putting minimum wage up this morning. The skill shortage for skilled labour needs plugging by the companies who need it (with maybe some government incentives) by paying to train British workers, offering them well paid jobs and careers at the end of them, relying on foreign labour all the time is doing UK citizens a disservice. But at the end of the day, if there was some gap that needed plugging, the government could decide to do it, it was one of their pledges, "taking back control". The reality is, Brexit is delivering, the remoaners are continuing to moan although most have gone silent as it becomes harder to spin their lies as the benefits are starting to bear fruit. The irrefutable fact is the UK economy is starting to change from a low skilled, poor paid, dery existence, to a high skilled, high employment level, high pay employment system. The only real loosers are the very wealthy and migrant workers. Edited October 6, 2021 by 12gauge82

Rewulf
This piece is actually supposed to be serious , but I actually thought it was hilarious ! https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/remainers-dub-themselves-brexit-refugees-as-they-flee-uk-to-start-new-lives-in-spain/ar-AAPcpRt?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=U531&fbclid=IwAR2mL68ecfqiCS_pffz6wAkMyYC3zfkT0zVkImyX-IMZQlScVnBAhQF9nsg These poor people who 'fled' the UK because Brexit 'destroyed' the economy, left their non jobs and moved to Spain. Once there, they found they couldnt get a similar non job, and realised the Spanish economy was far worse ! You couldnt make it up, I thought Brexit derangement had been pretty much eradicated by common truths. Unfortunately, it seems its making a come back , on the basis of 'Covid isnt to blame, its all about the Brexit'
