i dont buy guns like sweets anymore.......so i want something to replace that...........im not infirmed im still reasonably mobile......but i do like my tele......always have done........im on my own now, so if i want to wander about the house in my undercrackers i will do so........

if you all tott up what you spend on shooting you like me will be horrified ....so im going to spend my now free dosh on something that i will use on a daily basis..:good:

When I invest in new home entertainment equipment I always have a look through What Hi-Fi Sound and Vision magazine. Very good head to head and group tests. Bought a panasonic crt tv, bout 25 years ago, on their recommendation. This tv is still going strong in my sisters house and still has a cracking picture. Panasonic or Samsung would be my first choices. As for other kit, yer pays yer money.....

Well done sir, I hear loads of chat about the cost of a gun or carts but I believe those 2 items come nowhere close to the final bill for one year quality driven shooting, the gamekeeper tips alone are £80 - 100 per day; it soon  mounts up

You know that Lin is game for a laugh

I know , but I've got a really bad back . It takes me an hour to get upstairs , and she's finished by the time I get there 😄.

This might be a dumb question. I'm on Virgin. Is there a tele type that better suits fibre?

My TV refused to start today so looking. Hearing not brilliant so what brand has best sound quality? looking at 38/43 inch.

The Virgin part of the jigsaw won't effect your TV choice. But all modern tv's have reduced speaker size to make them slimmer so if your hearing not so good get the soundbar too, unless your my neighbour

well reporting back on my purchase

I AM TOTALLY GOBSMACKED.............PERIOD ...END OF

tv tech has come on in leaps and bounds  ......bought a Samsung 75" with Blu-ray ATMOS DOLBY compat' and a expensive sound bar with ATMOS DOLY and wireless woofers

word ...IMMERSIVE.........thought this was a sales pitch word.....well it aint.....the store manager said try it with a standard sound bar ...then i will show you something else.......so i chose a Daviid Atten' docu'y....him in da jungle etc......picture and sound was mouth watering...at any distance or angle..........so he said youve seen the rest now try the best...went along the aisle until he cameto another samsung 75 neo blah blah blah.......but with an HWQ7 sound bar with wireless woofers

same dvd .............WOOOOOWWWWOOOOOOO.........i wasnt watching him i was there in da jungle with howler monkeys behind me and to the left bird song above my head ...i wasnt watching it i was in the jungle with him i poo you not

then i chose a late star wars movie.........BEEEE-----LOWN----AWAY......the guy was talkingto someone off camers to the right and behind me and i had to turn my head to see if he was there !!!!!!!!......then i could hear a speeder comini' into town way a way left and behind...it got closer and i nearly moved as i thought it would hit me ...then it came into shot

now the system and the sound bar takes full advantage of the ATMOS  system........would make your eyes water what i paid for it....it is about the only time i have coughed up for something and not winced...cause i got excactly what i wanted.........i cannot stress how good the pic it on ordinary HD...and the samsung has superb UPSCALEING

so with all the other stuff and free £50 quid HDPI leads thrown in and extra no quibble replacement garuntees curries knocked off over a £1000 quid off the bill................awesome experience.

i would like to add a big thank you to everyone who posted help on here....it really helped and i soon realised at no point did currys try and sell me something i didnt want ....well done boys
