pin
Mine was a veggie until recently but always supported me shooting. She never minded me shooting but recently has taken more of an interest. She's helped me sort pigeon out and more recently was fascinated watching me pluck and prepare a duck and hen pheasant  Did get a mouthful last year though, shot a very large Canada and brought it in to clean. Left it in the sink with its head on the tap and went to clean the gun. She's gone in there, lights were off, and got a hell of a shock with Mrs Gander giving her the evil stare

JohnGalway
Tell them you'll stop shooting when they stop shopping. Life's way to short to be told not to do something you enjoy, sod them!
Brisa
The usual 'poor wee bunny' thing but she only teases. Hates all types of vermin and agrees they shouldn't be about haha
Owenwill
When I first met the wife in '94 she was in uni and whilst not an anti she certainly wasn't exactly pro shooting either, I remember mentioning in the company of some of her uni mates that I had been shooting bunnies the weekend before, oh the look on their faces As the years have passed and with living on the farm, she has obviously come to understand a lot more about shooting and doesn't have any problem with it, aslong as I don't go into too much detail of what I've shot! She enjoys going to gamefairs and wants to have a go at clays, but I don't think I'll ever get her out shooting at live targets, no bad thing I suppose! I think it was just a "student"thing all those years back

paul65
I used to have a Crosman bb M1 carbine. The wife 'made' me get rid of it when our son was born because she didn't want such a dangerous thing in the house. Roll on 2 years and our next door neighbour with the terriers moves out and suddenly our garden is a rat run. She soon changed her tune and told me I needed to get a rifle and sort them out. Who am I to argue?
bunnybasher07
yeh we tend to call them bunny huggers ( fully bunny disease ) <<< dont ask about that  but my mum and da says usally after ave been shooting mostly every day of the week that i have to "have a break" from it so i cant go out the house with the gun soo ive came up with a plan and shoot crows and rabbits out of the bedroom window so technically i am not outside the thing that annyoes me the most is people sayin your "sad" and havent the foggiest clue about shooting!! does my head in sometimes GM

Ferret Master
My Mum is slowly getting used to the idea but what she doesn't know/see can't hurt her. I get a bit of stick at school every now and then but people know I couldn't care less what they think. My friends like me for who I am and not what I do. As for the rest of them; stuff 'em. FM
soreshoulder
my mum hates "all this shooting" even worse when she comes home and im frying up some rabbit and pigeon. My dad is ok with it as he used to shoot and my bro has shot and still goes lamping from time to time. My sis is fine with it as well as she is a picker.
Tom Janaway
my mum's new husband has been shooting since he was very very young and he loves it, my mum doesnt mind that much but isnt really into it, my twin brother thinks im a monster for doing it, and my half sister and half brother dont mind too much, but dont like it that much. I generaly try not to tell most people.
Captain Caveman
My girlfriend's not a country type and doesn't like to see any dead animal with it's fur/feathers on. Although I told her I was of the hunting/shooting sort when we met and she's no real problems with my bringing game I've shot home- I have to pluck/skin and gut on the garden though. Chard
My wife is COMPLETELY disinterested. The countryside to her is a messy place with things that sting and bite and there aren't any clothes shops  Suits me
JJaxeman
I am pretty much the same as the rest af you all wife dosent mind atall as long as it tastes GREAT and thats what it's all about
chunk
My wife has no problem with it. She knew i was a shooting man from the off and if there had been a problem she would have had to sort herself out cos i wont change for anyone. My lad loves to go out shooting rabbits, the eldest daughter has her own gun for clays, youngest daughter doesnt particularly like it but still eats the stews etc. My parents were always a bit anti guns, but have mellowed over the years to the point that i paid for a lesson at clays for mums birthday and she loved it and is arranging a course of lessons . I think she may even become a club member at some point.
Lord Geordie
My Fiancee has NO problems with me shooting and is a keen shot herself "Taught by her grandfather" She owned a farm in Oz so shooting was part of everyday life! Pushkin
My wife knew I shot right from the start of our courting days - it was me that used to say can't meet you tonight love - I'm going shooting In all those years she has supported me in what shooting I've done - in fact it was she who encouraged me to keep my licence updated when I went through some years when I had no interest in it - or much else to be honest. She really encouraged me back to it last year as well and even went with me to the shop when I was picking a gun. Xmas and birthdays - she has managed to give me pressies for the shooting as well and now we are embarking on getting a dog again - what a gal Pushkin B)
