Be careful for what you wish for springs to mind on this one.
Destabilisation of Russia really isn’t in anyone’s best interest I feel.

History repeats itself.....its a russia "thang"....russia is surrounded by viscous baying dogs....just waiting......

could we see russia split up into several different countries ??????

lots of senarios on the table ...it would be a brave man/woman who is prepared to go on record to predict what will play out..............

A deal was done... One of them will be dead soon. Which one is the most ruthless villain?

Putin is a pussycat compared to Prigozhin....Prig' is a evil ...butchering,,,,devious....brutal...streetwise thug.........but putin still holds cards....putin is not as clever as people think....he is very much black and white and uses people as tools...

I’d love to know what the deal was and for Prigo to stop and accept what must be certain death, if not now in the months to come; tea anyone?

He’s moving to Belarus along with his troops and apparent guarantees for their safety … not sure how much that guarantees worth mind!

Prigo is nobody to be underestimated

He is more hardline than the officials he is criticising and will escalate the war massively if he gets his way.

Moving to open a new front in Belarus a week after Putin moved nuclear weapons to Belarus last week sounds like very bad news to me.

It was Prigo that orchestrated the sabotaging of the 2016 US Elections

He is no here today gone tomorrow bit player

Moving Nuclear weapons to Belarus is just more Putin Russian BS, it makes no difference if they are in Russia or Belarus.

I still think something is not right here. Why would Lukashenko, who owes everything to Putin. Offer to host Prigo. Putin saved Lukashenko's bacon a few years ago and is his number 1 backer in keeping him elected. Plus Lukashenko recieves a lot of military aid from Putin. Why bite the hand that feeds you.

Its a interesting situation.

1) Prigozhin is in Belarus and the president (Aleksandr Lukashenko) there is supposedly close to Putin

Aleksandr Lukashenko must be wondering if backing Putin is still a good plan - as things seem to be going a bit sideways and he wants to be on the winning side whatever happens whilst being conscious that  Prigozhin could cause him trouble too.

2) Prigozhin - would have every right to be concerned that Putin can't afford to have him alive so the two of them are likely on a collision path whatever happens

3) It seems a possibility that Wagner, possibly led by Prigozhin will attempt to break the Russian military from within, not exactly mutiny but more of  terrorist effort aimed at infrastructure but avoiding spilling Russian blood.

4) In the meanwhile the Russian army are trying to stop the Ukraine army from advancing but anyone with half a brain in the Russian army will be wondering if their own leadership is still committed.

The next few weeks will be interesting.

Maybe ........ (as others have suggested above)

Putin requested his friend Lukashenko to take in Prigozhin (and his Wagner men) to open a second front from Belarus?

Putin (nominally) holds controi over the tactical nuclear deployment in Belarus.

IF the new 2nd front goes badly, Putin can handover the nuclear button for Belarus stationed missiles to Lukashenko.  hence (if and) when a tactical nuclear is used, Lukashenko is seen as responsible.  Bleme goes to Lukashenko and Prigozhin.

This is important as Putin letting off nuclear seems to be a big NO to China's Xi and probably India and S Africa.

Just a thought.

Do you think China, India and South Africa, are dumb enough to buy it if that happened.

Only if they are looking for reasons to do so.  But if they want the oil, they might take that route.  It's politics, not truths.
