Hello, anyone remember the Longitude film ?

Absolutely.

My late father, an horologist, sold one of his lathes to Michael Gambon, who had trained as a gunsmith before he became an actor.

I was there when MG came to collect it and was party to the long conversation that they had on Harrison (Gambon's part in the film).

MG was very interested in Dad's replica of the Galileo clock - the first pendulum clock. I still have that clock.

He was excellent in Layer Cake.

Indeed. IMO , his best performance.

A very good film. I have stood where Daniel Craig took the a bullet at the end, it's some gaff, for sure.

He was one of the best ever guests on Top Gear. 🙂

Had a corner named after him.
