She stated she have had a few abusive letters , can you wander why ?. the spa she said could have been used for the aging Asian local community , it would have been better is she had said nothing instead of coming up with an answer like that .   MM

The NHS don't own the land on which you park your car, this normally belongs to the local council. Dont forget that Hospital staff have to pay to park their cars as well - this is normally a yearly fee that doesn't even guarantee they get a space. The situation is unacceptable but as true Brits we just grumble and carry on regardless.

Hello, i am sure Captain Tom would turn in his grave with what his Daughter , Husband maybe other family are doing 🤔

The family didn't exactly look as if they were short of a few bob before the money came flowing in big time from the general public , then greed took over and the rest is history .  MM

You are getting far to polite in your ole age Simon , her and her husband said they are not going to appeal over her 10year ban and her husbands 8 year , if they appealed they might opened a can full of worms , money is the root of all eval so they say , in my case it's what you never had then you never missed it :drinks:

The situation is complex. Captain Tom's daughter, Hannah Ingram-Moore, did receive a significant amount of money from book deals related to her father's story. There were public statements that proceeds would go to charity, which has led to criticism.

However, it's important to note that details are unclear. It's possible the £800,000 figure includes advances or royalties from the book deals, not just pure profit. Additionally, there may have been legitimate expenses or other factors involved.

An ideal resolution would involve clear information about how much money went to charity and how much was kept by the family.
