On the video he shows a bottom of the hedge - raised up soil as a safe backdrop but I wouldn’t have taken that shot at all.

Meteor never mind a Deer calibre CF rifle. shocking and extremely dangerous decision imho👎👎👎
spanj
Taking that shot is bad enough but posting it ! Deserves to have ticket revoked imo
oldypigeonpopper
Hello, Even that 2nd shot was iffy ??,
wyn
He mentioned waiting for it to get in front of an old tree stump in the hedge but that was nuts taking a shot like that. Just had another look and he reckons the pile of earth the hedge is growing on was the backstop. I see he is rightly being questioned on it in the youtube comments. scarecrow243
taking a shot at anything beside a hedge is not save it's dangerous as you never know what's on the other side this gives shooters a bad name
8 shot
This is exactly my point with DSC1 you can't educate stupid.....
bruno22rf
IMHO both shots were dangerous.
ShootingEgg
Unless they know something we don't about the terrain and area they are shooting in then the shots were very poorly assessed and then taken.

scarecrow243
i put a comment on saying very dangerous shooting you need to hand in your certificate the land owner should never allow you back

wymberley
Just another piece of shooting lore going - the vast majority, if not all of which relates to safety, and soon to be forgotten - namely, 'never shoot where you can't see'.
oowee
Ouch. Not for me. And it's likely green 🤮
Gordon R
It looks dangerous to me, but his explanation is not borne out by his own video. I wouldn't like to be in his shoes, explaining that to his FEO. I think he would struggle.

Gordon R
Anyone any idea which police force James Crowther falls under? If that is known, I will write to his FEO and invite him to view the video.
bottletopbill
Been stalking twice and my mentor would not allow a shot like that to be taken. But the clip may not show the true story
Gordon R
He produced the video and his explanation about the height of what appears to be a non-existent backstop is laughable. Edited May 21 by Gordon R

Skyline shot, no real back stop and no idea what's behind that hedge. He's that eager to get the kill shot for his video, he threw the safety book out the window. Appalling disregard for safety, especially with how shaky he was on the shot.
