team tractor
How does this work ? Honestly I’m confused how you can be arrested for suspicion of possession of offensive weapons . I guess he’s a drug dealer that they’re struggling with to find evidence. He’s in his own home .
old man
I'm confused too, particularly by the tag of "in a private place" how did that occur? A bit of a concern that a samurai sword and baseball bats are disclosed too? Publicity to appease?

Dougy
Possibly due to intended use of "weapons" being a very high suspicion of the owner being a naughty chemist. And the new law regarding machete/gardening equipment usages.
The Mighty Prawn
I agree with Dougie, I suspect it means they think it fails the zombie knife test but until confirmed it’s just suspicion in the formal charge - it’s all NFT anyway, Normal For Tamworth 😂 49 minutes ago, team tractor said: How does this work ? Westward
But you can be arrested for having metaldehyde slug pellets in your shed. What a country!!!
Rem260
Possibly suspected possession of a prohibited samurai sword. You can not own one unless certain criteria is shown. They may suspect he/it does not.

The samurai sword will just have been found on arrival, no doubt this fella has been reported by someone for dealing, let's face it how many folk have 20K in cash lying around?? @team tractor I thought you were just going to say it wasn't you 😆😆
Vince Green
Absolutely anything can be deemed to be an offensive weapon A bunch of keys, a pencil, even a sewing needle, it's all about the intent However, that intent has to be proved to a satisfactory degree in a court of law. It's all about the where, when and how you happened to be in possession of them

Bigbob
If they want you bad enough carrying a empty lemonade bottle is a offensive weapon , then they have reason to search you your house and if you dont have a good reason for the money its gone youve lost it

TIGHTCHOKE
He's been a naughty boy and the police failed to catch him with sufficient evidence to nail him. They are now searching for something to use as evidence or he will be allowed to carry on. Perhaps Tamworth Police have the right idea, but didn't move quickly enough or maybe failed to do enough reconnaissance.
