She gone to learn about Labours next economic strategy.

'Capital control' of our bank funds.

Coming soon!

Well she’s demanding capital control of gov pension funds be merged so she can demand they put money into infrastructure spending because banks won’t because of the risks.

Hello, There is an interesting read on the BBC red button on Labours policy with the Economy including Rachel Reeves given a full term as Chancellor of the UK money pot, Let us see what happens in April with the rise in NI to 1000s of small Business owners already struggling to keep going having to pay more for their employees costs

ALL pension funds should be run by independent 'trustees' whose duty is solely to manage the funds on behalf of the (current and future) pensioners (i.e. the beneficiaries of the fund)

There are no grounds whatsoever to 'direct' trustees and fund managers to take risks (especially where others won't).

Present Financial Conduct Authority rules require trustees to act;

  • in the best interests of the scheme beneficiaries.
  • impartially.
  • prudently, responsibly and honestly.

It seems to me that to demand they put money into infrastructure spending because banks won’t because of the risks breaks all three of the above requirements.

👍 Where does the Intelligence part fit then ? 🤔 I see more intelligence within these very pages than in that image, sometimes anyway :yay:

Well, OK, it's really the "artificial" where the truth lies.  There's certainly no real intelligence.

I TOTALLY AGREE in the above but our regulations are also written by the same government who wants this to happen  And the word demand is perhaps a little strong but local gov pension are not regulated by the FCA but TPR

there is a drive to fund other infrastructure. We do this already but we pick and choose we are members of glil.co.uk

the trustee boards are heavily influenced by the elected councillors but Rachel reaves pushing for 8 mega funds is in my personal view all about getting her hands on the goose that can lay the golden egg .
