welsh1
Does anyone belive that government can implement a digital secure ID, everytime they try to upgrade computer systems it ends up costing a fortune and inevitably fails to deliver what was promised. My wife is still using her paper driving licence!

One was even mentioned in the House in regards to how to deliver a successful government IT project. Despite me throwing everything into the bin that a previous person had done and delivering 6 months of work rewriting it - in 3 months (14-18 hour days 3 to 4 days a week - the other 1 or 2 days was up to 10 hours) - it nearly killed me it can be done - believe me - the infrastructure is there with Government Gateway as the backbone. It was then I realised it was not only paper, but was registered to my parents address from when I actually passed my test in 1978! I’d moved four times since then! 😳 Oops!
