But the BBC report completely fails to mention that when she made the original application in 2013 she was employed as a housing officer by that very same council. Implying improper string pulling and dodgy favours. Also the reason that she gave in 2013 for needing a council flat was that she didn't have a bedroom of her own at her parents house. NOW COME ON! how is that sufficient reason to be given you own flat by any council in the land? Clearly there were "things" going on that shouldn't have been going on and in a Labour council in East London at that. Well Well, there is a surprise

I'm sure that if any of us were locked in nomber 10 day after day trying to wage war on a pandemic threatening to engulf the country we would all make some unsavoury comments and suggestions as ideas get kicked back and forward. That does not prove we ever meant them seriously These comments, later taken completely out of context and quoted by Cummings in a self serving interview are meaningless.
-
Absolutely right, James O'Brian on LBC (who never had a good word to say about Cummings previously) now thinks he's the new political Mesiah and quotes him chapter and verse like he suddenly believes every last word is true

Wasn't that the same University that was at the centre of the climategate scandel el a few years ago?

Who knows if that really is the case? Take my friend's house next to a footpath, it runs between a car park and the shops. If somebody parks their car , walks through the alley connecting with his app on the way. Then they do their shopping but connect again with his app again on the way back twenty minutes later, does that count? I don't know how these work out who is at risk and who is not

Every plonker is suddenly an armchair expert, I say Johnson has had the toughest job imaginable these past eighteen months. Has he always got it right? Well first define right? but clearly no he hasn't Apart from Oowee who could have done better?

I don't believe a word he says, why is he giving interviews? There can only be one reason and that cancels his credibility The mans a spent force

Its pretty obvious to me that dustmen for example are going to be triggering devices in the houses they visit, and vice versa. My mate deleted his app after the third time he got pinged. There is a public footpath down the side of his home and he thinks that was the cause.

Don't let your dog in the canal if you can avoid it. There are some really toxic bugs in the water because the "new generation" boat owners are dumping sewage to avoid having to pay to pump out thier toilets at sanitary stations Used to run my dinghy up and down the canal testing outboards. Won't go there now

I would love to buy it, its a quality rifle, and for that price an absolute bargain, but I can't use .22-250 on MOD ranges which is a real ****** Its over the proscribed velocity for MOD ranges and most club ranges and before you ask, no you can't download it, they don't recognise the legality of reduced loads because they cant assess them

We got air conditioning installed a couple of years ago just in the bedrooms. My OH was very dubious because we had it done in about February when you can get really good deals but she was unconvinced at the time. thought it a waste of money My god its been worth it Apart from the electricity meter wheel spinning round like a spitfire propeller

What my son does is not under my control he is an adult and got free tickets to all the matches. He wouldn't have paid to go. What he was more upset about was the appealing behaviour and fighting. Nobody checked his covid status going into any of the matches but he didn't go in the public entrances he used the vip entrance round the side

Yes but people are still not getting the message, close family friends this week, Husband is positive with symptoms, daughter is positive with symptoms. Wife is supposed to be self isolating. So she went shopping to the local supermarket, she has absolutely no concept of what is meant by self isolating, not a clue. (well, you've got to eat, even if you're self isolating havent you?) The source of their particular infection is believed to be the daughter's boyfriend hosting a Euros football party for some of his mates in his home. Again not a clue. Even when you explain it to them they dont really get it. They say they do but they are not close to getting it. Infections are rising again, thats not just happening for no reason Its being caused If everybody complied with a few simple rules for a comparatively short period of time the chain of infection would have been broken. And we would so much better off, As it is, the whole thing is dragging on and on

I can tell you something, he will have had a much, much better life on the inside than he will ever get on the outside. Inside it was all done for him, from the time he woke to the time he went to bed, not a bad life in reality. Outside there will be fear and insecurity. He will have to start doing everything for himself, washing his own clothes, buying and cooking his own food, paying his own bills etc. Plus dodging the press and people that want to kill him or castrate him with a rusty knife. When I get older and feel I need care to get by I'm not going into some £1500 a week care home to fritter away my children's inheritance. I'm going to set fire to some disused building ( having first checked no tramp is kipping in there) then confess to arson and get a ten year sentence in a holiday camp sorry prison where every thing is done for me. FOR FREE If he wants to get out he is mad. far better off inside

Well its good he didn't squander it away

We had a catapault confiscated by the police years ago, and all we were doing was shooting at tin cans on some waste ground near the canal. We had only just bought it was a really powerful one with a wrist brace and fired steel ball bearings. We never got it back.

Mr Crabtree goes Fishing was the book that defined every waking minute of my life up to the age of about 16 when fishing on the river Colne near Watford one Sunday morning a couple of lads came along the side of the river with a Baikal single barrel shotgun. The rest, as they say, is history

no time at all, you can't leave them out.

Got the builders in on one of our houses, I know him very well, he says he can never be sure whether he is going to get materials until they actually arrive. Its hard for him to plan anything more than a day ahead

It was always going to be a difficult match to win. The red tops hyped it up to the point where the whole thing became ridiculous. The bookies were never fooled apparantly, they always had as an Italy win.

Yes but on a different note, my lifelong friend who's father owned a small clothing manufacturing business in the East End of London in the 60s clearly and regularly remembers the Met Police coming round each month to collect "their money". Handed over in the proverbial brown envelopes. They would go from one door to the next, up one side of the road then down the other side every month. Across the whole of London it must have been a huge and well organised racket.

One of the things I have said on here many times before, having lived and worked in America, is the massive discrepancy between police numbers in America compared to here. Even a small rural town police force in the middle of nowhere would have six or seven cruisers patrolling the town limits at night. Bored out of their mind with nothing to do. There are the town police, then on top of that, the county police then on top again the State police and Highway Patrol. Plus of course overseeing it all the FBI. All covering a sleepy rural small town where nothing ever happened The resources in terms of police manpower compared to here is just incredible. Also what we don't realise is that a lot of America is comparatively crime free. Sure they have really serious crime hot spots and terrible poverty. But bugulary for example is about a fifteenth of what it is here. Firstly because if the home owner catches a burglar in his house he is perfectly allowed to shoot him (in the front, not the back in my state) no questions asked. Which acts as a pretty good deterrent Plus a first offence burglar would get seven years, second offence would be fourteen years and a third offence would be life. Phone the police where I used to live to report a suspicious person and you would get six cars in a matter of minutes British police are not corrupt, they are just too stretched to be able to do their jobs and too wrapped up form filling

It's one of those complaints against an individual that is very hard to prove or disprove

My son who was at the match said the England fans were absolutely disgraceful and he's a Liverpool Fan so his bar is set pretty low to start with. He will be back there again on Sunday probably so see what happens then

I don't know how often anyone actually checks the photo on the licence. They certainly don't appears to when I buy ammo. Interesting question
