Its childs play to do-put your claim in against the Bank etc and wait-quite often they will deny responsibility in which case you got to the Ombudsman-they will fight on your behalf and most correspondence can be done over the phone. Can take over a year but its well worth the wait-we have had £16k returned to date and another case is going thru.

Can I get the name of your restaurant JamesMoody3? - with Foie gras on the menu I want to make sure I never accidently visit the place.

shaun4860-excuse my ignorance but where did you find the rule on shooting clubs not being a venue for persons with no certificate to shoot on? At our club a guy who had his certificate revoked years ago for possessing illegal firearms shoots most weekends.

How times change-when I applied for my SGC in 1980 I had convictions for various stupid things that I had done including using a Firearm without a licence/underage/armed trespass (x5)/purchasing ammunition underage and another odd one concerning a private pond and some Ducks . Licence came thru in less than 3 weeks-also sailed thru my Firearms and explosives licences. Not proud by any means of what I did - stupid and immature of me but I guess I was lucky to be born in a less strict age

I think that gently heating the action in a mix of water and caustic soda will grey the metal but you would need to strip the action out and do some research first-ask demonwolf444 for advice-not much he doesn't know about making guns better.

I have also found AA unwilling to even listen to suggestions/questions-I sent them a design idea and drawing of a simple and cheap way of locking the loading bolt down (its so easy to catch the bolt with your thumb etc) but they did not even have the decency to reply

Is it police approved??

.22 Shotguns bin around for years-normally a bolt action single shot that fires something akin to a .22lr but with a tiny plastic see thru cap over the end with shot in it-good for Rats up to about 10 yards.

Christ on a bike.....do you live next to a Fox Sanctuary??

Sssssssssshhhh.....never had an AA leak . My TX went for 4 years and never so much as a Mouse f**t escaped . On the other hand my Daystate never leaked either while I had it-don't know about in the Gunshop whilst being repaired though where it spent most of its life

I would start at £400 depending on scope/mounts and drop £50/month till it sells

We had ours scraped a couple of years back-one side of the roof gets little or no sunlight and suffers most-after scraping (£100) the guy sprayed something on that he reckons will keep the moss off for at least 5 years-must admit -no signs of any moss at the moment.

Only thing wrong with the S200 is that they are slagged off by people who have never tried one-all models are exceptional apart from a limited shot count-why AA never increased the cylinder size is beyond me-but in 99% of hunting situations the gun will perform alongside any other PCP out there-simply superb pellet on pellet capability.

Perfectly excusable Sir-no doubt your clock winder is on his hols.

Not sure if pushing 34grams thru her is wise-1 1/8 I seem to recall is 32gram and I'm guessing that's what she was designed to throw at a maximum-if you don't mind me saying (tin hat on) you seem eager to throw as heavy a load as you can thru her-she's an old girl and will outlast you with ease if you treat her right-these guns were mass made for sure, but by the best Gunmakers in the world who outsourced most individual tasks to men who had spent their lives doing such work-they did it right or were out of a job. Enjoy her for what she is-a piece of living history that was crafted by men who have ,most likely, gone for good.

If you get stuck Mr Falcon then I have a FIAS OU sporterised Trap choked at SK & 1/4 that you are welcome to use to your hearts content-its a high rib Medalist by any other name and just sits in my cabinet gathering dust.

Nowt wrong with 2.5" cartridges-these guns were designed when 2.5 was the norm and they are more than capable of killing at normal shotgun ranges

Fair enough Mr Green-but would this practise cease?-Did the same transactions exist before yurp?

Travellers demanded £8k to leave man's land, so he blocked them in
bruno22rf replied to chrisjpainter's topic in Off Topic
This has been done before-only better. If you ever drive thru Waddesdon towards Aylesbury in Bucks then just outside the village, at the bottom of the hill, is a layby blocked by manure-pretty sure there is also one the other side of the road. More than 40 years ago a certain Willy Hunter (landowner) gave the travellers 24 hours to vacate these layby's as things were going missing from his farm. After 24 hours he drove a caterpillar earth mover to the layby nearest his farm and waited-when no-one moved he simply pushed the nearest van into the ditch-occupants and all after which his problems quickly disappeared-he then blocked the layby's off with manure-they may have been cleared by now but they were blocked last time I passed about 4 years back. Strange how things have changed-he would most likely get time for such deeds nowadays-on the other hand he was not a man to be messed with-not even by the boys in blue -
I don't buy the idea of Europe not trading with us if we pull out-if Senor jose pipe spends all year knitting Tomatoes on the land that he has been doing so for years then he is going to have a whole heap of Ketchup seeds left-can anyone honestly believe that he would refuse to sell them to us?

I'm glad you have had some use from here Sir-best fitting gun I ever fired.

Ask Demonwolf444 about refinishing your stock BEFORE doing anything else-I seem to spend most of my time whilst out shooting simply admiring the woodwork on my guns that the man has breathed on-but be quick cos he's going to be taking a break from it pretty soon due to other commitments ( i.e. shooting )
