  1. If I ran Daystate I wouldn't bother announcing this in the press-simply hike the price and make the guns less reliable and we would soon guess
  2. Rimfireboy-you are ruining a beautiful moment for me by dissing my latest gun (but you are dead right). Watching the demise of Britain's airgun making industry during the 80's was painful and yet so easy to avoid-like our motorcycle industry we sat on our hands and failed to reinvest in modern ideas.
  3. Drain the system down and then add your x100 to the expansion tank as the system refills.
  4. The S comes with Walnut but its carp quality and the chequering looks like its been hammered into the wood. Other hiccup is pellets-modern ones fall halfway down the barrel-I have about 300 old Eley Wasps but lord knows what I will do when they run out (mines .177).
  5. I was coming but my wife left me the night before. I married way too young but we were never really happy and she's gone back to Thailand.
  6. Still waiting for mine back-after the service the gun is running way over 12ft/lb so its back in the workshop
  7. in watching these on ebay and prices are dropping-looking to buy one but not in a hurry so I would offer £220-same as the cheapest ebay used one-pm me if interested
  8. Squirt some WD40 into the key slot using the thin pipe that comes with the spray-your ignition switch may be dirty and not contacting fully.
  9. We have a 9kg model and its rubbish-its a standard weight machine with a bigger motor-when its spinning we get complaints from Heathrow Airport about the noise.
  10. Quick look on Guntrader and , if I were you, I would look at the TX200 @ £245 or the Original 45 @ £225-both brilliant guns that will outshoot most men alive.
  11. I have 2 experiences of this kind of thing-1/ chap next door to the school walks into the grounds and fells a tree with a chainsaw in broad daylight and on CCTV-evidence handed to police who did absolutely nothing & 2/ A local farmer felled a row of 9 full grown Ash trees on the roadside outside his land and sold the wood-the local council said that without the land registry details they could not prove that the trees were theirs-to get the details they would have to pay another council to release them-this they could not do because they have no proof of who owns the trees
  12. Check the thermostat-it could be boiling the water off.

    Log Cabin

My daughter lives in a Log Cabin in our garden. Its 5x4 metres and the total cost was around £6k but she uses the facilities in the house so we didn't need planning permission . Things I would suggest are-the base needs to be good and concrete is best, you really need insulation inside as it gets really cold in the winter and also make sure that the wood is sourced from the coldest country possible and not the UK-wood grown in colder climates grows slower and is stronger. I'm just outside MK and you are welcome to come take a look if it helps.
  14. It is NOT Hatsans problem-your contract is with the dealer and the dealer alone-when you bought the gun you both entered into a contract-you to pay a sum of money to them to supply you with goods. These goods must be of a certain quality and last a reasonable time (depending on price and usage)-not only have they failed to supply items of suitable quality but the item they supplied is extremely dangerous and ,I'm guessing, illegal if it fire full auto.
  15. Thanks for that ack-ack-yet another coffee tsunami over my keyboard.
  16. Strange as it may seem you would have more luck if you had a shotgun. I don't think that Landowners have the time to study firearms development and are thus, in the majority, unaware of the usefulness of a modern PCP. If you are lucky enough to find A/ A piece of land not already spoken for and B/ In need of urgent crop protection then you will still face the biggest hurdle in the farmer not wanting someone whistling pellets around his field when he most likely has a stack of names of Shot gunners eager to take care of the problem for him-many are even willing to pay.
  17. Like the Challenger-last model they produced I believe and only for one year before German rifles became the thing to have. Its a shame really because with a little investment the Mercury could have competed with the best.
  18. We bought a leather 3 piece from DFS a few months back and I hate to admit it but they were faultless. You can buy leather suites now that are not cold nor do they stick to you if you are a little sweaty. About a week after we had it one of the seams started to come apart-phoned them at 9 in the morning and an upholster was here by 12--great service.
  19. I have the same gun so a couple of tips. Charge to 180 for best consistency and point the gun downwards when you cycle the mag if you can-sometimes a pellet drops backwards from the mag and jams the action. Don't worry too much about charging the batteries-overnight once a month is plenty and its a good idea to download the manual. Air Arms field seem to work well and buy/make a probe to push the pellets into the mag or buy the modded mag. Don't pay DS prices for servicing or battery replacement when the time comes-find a factory trained gunsmith and let them do the job for a fraction of the price. Oh-and enjoy the electric trigger-its sublime
  20. I don't mind MK -I think that the planners have done a fair job in the centre and the night life is good. Some of the surrounding areas can be a little tardy but there are plenty of small villages within spittin distance if you want peace and quiet.
  21. Its called Class-mixed with respect and compassion and is the worst thing we have sat back and watched slip away.
  22. He put up a good fight when his wife ("Do you know who I am?) got a parking ticket in our market square-didn't get him anywhere though. I cannot help but wonder what we can use to threaten the Russians-all we have is a plethora of immigrants-now if only we had a plane to drop them from
