If you have no choice but to put your cabinet in an unheated area you can stick polystyrene tiles on the inside using non solvent glue-costs less than a tenner and works a treat-if you are worried you can buy damp traps from the bay that hang in the cabinet and can be dried out by connecting them to the mains every week or so.

My shooting pal has an identical one of these-its stupidly accurate even @ 100 yards

You can buy pads that screw under the seat and "lip" downwards over the edge thus preventing sideways movement+use Loctite on the mounting screws.

Buy a Range Rover Ross? jeeeeez-the guy has just lost his door mat, has he not suffered enough?
-
retromic-with the greatest of respect you are incorrect in one major aspect-the OP is returning the gun under his "consumer rights" and not under the warranty terms (which are offered in addition to your consumer rights)-your consumer rights in the UK are about the best in Europe-the problem is that nobody bothers to read them-millions of people throw money away every year buying extended warranties for white goods-your consumer rights are far more powerful and can last up to 7 years.

The maker and then the dealer set the price of any item-it is up to them to calculate the manufacturing costs and then add the profit margin-the item is then offered for sale fit for the purpose that it is intended for. Our man has paid over £2 for his item and has every right to expect a good quality item that will last a reasonable time-this has not been the case and, by law, even if the gun was 5 years old he would have a good case to take the matter to court-in fact if I were in his shoes and the dealer had the audacity to say that the product was out of warranty I would go straight to my nearest small claims court and start legal proceedings. As mentioned-if you are not happy with your dealers response go to trading standards-we have some of the most powerfull consumer rights in Europe.

Get in touch with customer services and let them know that you think your meter maybe u/s-if they have been reading it wrong or there is a fault then you should get a full refund-sometimes just the possibility of a fault can get you a huge refund. We had a gas bill a couple of years ago for over £700 when I explained that it was not possible for us to use so much gas they wrote off the entire amount (BG)-found out a few weeks later that we had a gas leak! I have also had refunds on my electric when the time is set wrong or when a power cut messes it up-because I run my major appliances on economy 7 I have argued that the meter is running the economy period at the wrong time-major refund.

This is an easy one-take the gun back to the dealer who sold it to you-your "contract" is with him and has nothing to do with Browning. When you bought the gun you entered into a contract with the dealer to supply you with goods "fit for purpose" and that should last a "reasonable" time depending on purchase price and reasonable use. As the gun is showing signs of a manufacturing fault you have grounds to demand that the dealer honours his side of the contract and supplies you with a product that meets your original requirement-he must repair the gun if it does not inconvenience you or replace it if it does-he could loan you a gun of similar quality if mutually agreed. Don't pussy foot around-speak to Trading Standards and know your rights.

Webley & Scott No 3 Garden Gun Other
bruno22rf replied to Gun Watch's topic in Guns for Sale (Trade)
You only need a small blob of silicone to hold the pellets in-the cartridge dia. is so small that, at most, only 4 or 5 pellets would be affected. I used an Italian 3 shot semi 9mm on Rats on a Farm that was over run by the nasty creatures-Maglite torch fitted to the bottom of the gun and a Laser pointer pen taped along the side of the barrel so the gun could be fired from the hip-killed thousands with the modified shells after losing quite a few hit with 9 shot. As a guide to the infestation-the owner had a 25kg tub of poison delivered while he was out and it got left out overnight-following morning it was empty after the Rats had chewed thru the lid. -

Most cartridges seem to be in 8 or 9 shot which is poor for rats-I used to pop the over shot wad off and replace the shot with 6's then reseal the cartridge with a blob of silicone sealant smoothed off level-goodnight Roland. -
Best write up for a very long time-your enthusiasm is contagious - I have read books written by people with far less talent-seriously well done

There is a video on youtube by verminhunter, I think, that shows you how to make a set-really easy and effective on a springer as much as any other gun cos you hold the gun with your hand and the sticks support your hand.

You need someone with a .22lr to practice shooting subs over the lake early in the morning Worst thing you can do is advertise that you are having problems with them.

My brother drives all over Europe-I will ask him to keep an eye out for your Mat on the off chance that it may intend emigrating-did it speak any language other than English? Does it have any unusual markings?
-
Excuse my ignorance-why is this a "wildfowling" gun? Is it just the 3 1/2" chamber?
-
What an appalling lack of enthusiasm or effort from our team-they were beaten before the whistle blew-total embarrassment apart from Rooney who at least tried.

Don't forget that you could pick up a reasonable semi for that kinda money-the Hatsan Escort (newest one you can find) are available and are very good. -
johnphilip-looking for a couple of Teknetic T2's. I,m guessing that even if I have to pay 20% its going to be cheaper than uk prices.

Is it during sex or all the time?

Thinking about buying a couple of detectors-they are £820 each in the UK but only $750 in the States which would work out at approx. £930 for the two if I could buy them from the good old USA-the company ship worldwide so that's no problem but what sort of import duty would I have to pay?-anyone done anything similar?

Thought that Paypal does not endorse the sale of firearms and would, therefore, not offer to refund on such an item?
-
Well said, norfolk dumpling, it should be ones selfless deeds and not their notoriety that is rewarded.
-
Its a civil matter and not a legal one-if you want you can explain that the charge is "unreasonable" and you are happy to meet them in a small claims court-they must prove that they have suffered financial loss by your payment being late which is going to be difficult.

Just buy your old car back-jeeeeez some people are silly

TX200 would be the ideal replacement IMO but if weight was becoming an issue then try as many as you can. If I was in your position I would look around for something a bit different-Original 45, BSA Mercury S or FWB 124 for example as they will all hold their value or even rise with time-all in .177 of course
