Free to anyone who wants it-old "Harrods" S/S .410 shotgun-put in this section as its free,Mods.Double trigger hammergun,Side lever in well worn condition-barrells are quite pitted but fire o.k. could possibly be rebuilt as was once a nice gun-otherwise use as spares.First to say on here gets it but needs collecting sooner rather than later as my cabinet is overcrowded. Was going to scrap it but somebody might want it?MK area.

No-they are rubbish-buy as many as you can locally and send them to me so that I can eeeerm dispose of them safely.

Used to put 5 and 6 shot in all my Flobert cartridges for Rat shooting, when you are in a confined space you want the b*****s dead and not jumping around your legs.Remove the over shot wad and ,after tipping out the unwanted shot, fill to just under the brim and then wipe a layer of silicone sealant over the top-leave to dry and away you go.

If the courier was DPD or Nightfreight im amazed that the container got there in one piece.

The guy in the video is using an FAC rated gun-so you will struggle to match his results but it can be done.Over stubble can be tricky cos the stems will deflect pellets so your best bags,as timmytree has said, is to find a sitty tree-in really hot weather its also worth looking for the nearest water source-cattle troughs can be suprisingly productive.

Pie hunting and a try of the Bisley Magnums .177

Many thanks for your critique,Mongrel,I use the Hyphen cos its easy to spot,I only have one eye and that has seen considerable laser surgery which makes typing with any speed tricky in the dining room where we have **** energy saving bulbs fitted-the full stop and comma are too close to guarantee hitting the correct one every time (dont have spell check either). My comment was meant as a compliment to the OP and ,as far as I can tell,he has yet to complain about it.If you have nothing constructive to say,may I suggest that you say nothing? I have no desire to enter into a battle of wits-especially with a man who is,clearly, unarmed.Final comment.- 14 replies

Nobody said anything about era-the comment,in particular, that I responded to stated that (in the posters opinion) the FWB was the finest break barrel EVER.The FWB was famous for breaking scopes,as those of us who were there at the time should recall,as well as being a fine hunting rifle (the 124 being much better than the 127).During a 6 year spell of instructing the use of Airguns back in the 90's I tested just about every gun available (including the awfull sussex armoury offerings-wonder what became of them? ) and the Annie 335s outshot the majority of non custom guns every time-if the power was higher I'm sure it would have become an all time best seller. The 80 was popular with tuners because it was designed to produce 18ft/lb out of the box-even a quick fit fitter could tune the gun.

Try before you buy-I've got the NS on my S400 and have been happy with it but then I bought a second hand Hawke off this site (price was too good to miss) and I was suprised at how much clearer the image was-I think that ,if you are using a PCP then go for the best image but if its going to live on a springer look at the build quality.

Bought a Silver Pig about 2 months back and returned it as the wood/metas fit was unacceptable and the safety catch needed both thumbs to move it-brand new gun!!! Look at the new model 525 Sporting GD1-the engraving has been upgraded to the previous grade 3 IMHO a much better gun .

For all those out there wearing rose tinted specs and declaring this the best break barrel-maybe you've forgotten the-HW80-95 or the Original 45,AA pro elite,Annie 335.......

No derogatory remarks from me-respect for speaking out and voting with your feet.I agree that the forum has changed and its hard to be honest when posting just incase some keyboard warrior spots a spelling mistake. Those who are worth communicating with will, hopefully, still be here should you return at a later date-the dross have a habit of crawling away.So long m8. -
And we use the term ~"Animal" to describe a dog?-Who's the animal now eh?I only hope that someone pays them back-with interest

Climbing trees to get them was common enough when I were a lad-back in the 70's we did just that until one of my mates inherited an Airgun - he then used to climb as high as he could with a rope tied to him-once in position we would tie the gun to the rope and up it would go-used to get tons of them-where are you now Eddie-jeeeez you could climb a tree!!

If the birds aren't feeding on your field then all the deeks in the world are unlikely to make much difference-if ,however, you saw birds feeding as you arrived then thats roughly the number of decoys you need-the birds will expect to see similar numbers as they witnessed last time they were feeding in this field. As said elsewhere-movement is a big help.

We normally eat the branchers-not the adult birds.Breast them out and soak them in milk for a few hours-then fry on a medium heat for a couple of minutes, tastes a bit unique but nearest comparrison would be cheap steak.Wouldn't try crows-meat and carrion eaters tend to be horrible.

You leave them to "purge" in fresh water for a day-cleans them out. -

Looks like a Gamo 361-released in the 80's.Cheap and nasty and most likely worth less than the paint your'e going to put on it-unless it has sentimental value be carefull with your budget.

Bought one from China via fleabay-£12-3 buttons-1/whistle 2/Vibrate 3/ Shock-we used the whistle and moments later the vibrate and it works like nothing else! Within 4 days our (rescue) spaniel responds within seconds to the whistle whereas before she just ran away-not needed the shock at all.Now we simply show her the collar and then put her normal one on without her noticing-so far so good.

Sorry to be a harbinger of doom but if your relationship is at a stage where she goes away for a week just because you did-you have more serious problems than her moaning about your new gun.If I were you I would buy the gun and be open about it-she can like it or lump it-life is not a dress rehearsel so if you want something and can afford it then get it-tommorow might never come.
