  1. Watch them until they fledge! Once they are out of the nest just fill the hole up!
  2. Ali express, wish, and other such sites
  3. I just bought an inverter stick welder and am intending converting it to a scratch start TIG. i also have a light duty ARC welder I use for silly bits. Check out the duty cycle if your planning on big jobs. Nothing worse than having to keep stopping to allow the welder to cool down. I welded “plated” a boat trailer using MIG 100A and it did a good job too. But some I find have atrocious wire feed.
  4. I was given a similar gun by my uncle when my aunt died. Was his, but had it from being a child. He was 70 and it had basically just been used and abused. To cut a long story short the barrels were too severely pitted to use it safely, the action would fall open when fired apparently too. I ended up removing the side plates, and had the rest disposed of it had lovely Damascus finish too. also when Grandad passed away, mum went through his things and found live bullets of various calibers in a leather box in the wardrobe from years in the army and shooting at bisley! 9mm, .45, 303, .22 there must have been 8 different calibers and in total around 100 rounds. My ex wife’s dad had an old service revolver under his pillow when he passed away too. The mother in law apparently had no idea he had it?
  5. They need structure and discipline, but also need to be given the opportunity to prove their worth. Put them into a large group who basically won’t carry them, but WILL encourage them to excel. Change the rewards from getting kicks from loutish behaviour, to feelings of pride when they prove they can be just as good as, and valued as the other men in their unit. The aggression many carry CAN be worked out if they are removed from negative influence, and can be given positive focus!
  6. It’s time to stop protecting them because of their age, and dealing with the little horrors!
  7. I said sigorney weaver, not beaver
  8. That’s the one! Ertha kitt and sigorney Weaver!
  9. Is it the set of the movie “holes” ?
  10. I can speak with experience to the generosity and genuine willingness to help others this forum has shown! Through my Sons account being emptied and offering to help, to some unknown person paying for a Falcon rifle for me. And even help with days out shooting and striking up friendships with Peter and Mike! I feel ashamed at the moment that life is dealing me with lemons and unable to even get about to see folk. My parents are not able to care for themselves as well as they used to. So I work 4 days and spend the other days running around doing what I can. But feel in other respects that I am letting those who have helped me in the past down! But through all of this there are always warm wishes and encouragement given by the members of this forum! Ditchy, you have given so much to other members by way of your posts, by offering to repair and make items and generally being a caring human being as so many others here have proven to be! Hope you enjoy the wine
  11. Just a suggestion! Have you looked at a second hand brand like citizen? There are also plenty of watches that LOOK like a Rolex but are not branded as such! Also I have seen a few seiko autos going between £35 and £100 granted they are not the diver ones but nice all the same
  12. That’s odd mine doesn’t offer marriage or relationships! But a professional hit on the wife.
  13. Maybe he will toss her in the hold as ballast
  14. No, we don’t have access the the coffers!
  15. That’s odd my gaff is 90m above sea level yet a 2m rise sees it disappear? Scare tactics at is best me thinks! Besides if we pump the water into the government coffers, we will be fine! It’s limitless!
  16. I buy hand raised pies from a butcher in Stanley. His home made black pudding it mouth-wateringly good too
  17. Ok, So me and the other half were sat after lunch having a coffee. She reaches into her bag and takes out two Cadbury picnics. Now a few week back we had picnics and they were a wafer with nuts, fruit and choc. Today it’s rice crispies with nuts, fruit and choc? i am at a loss for words what happened in two weeks to a national favourite?
  18. Northeast 38.73% brexit party taking 2 seats to labours 1
  19. Sorry to hear your sad news matey! My dad lost his cat last week and it totally destroyed him. So much more than just a cat. It’s a friendly face, it’s company, although it can’t answer in a normal way he could chat. All we can do is try and focus on the good time we had in their short lives, and try to use this to fill the painful void that is left when they pass. Again, so sorry!
