We each speak as we find and over many years I have found Vodafone helpline to have met my needs problem free and I' m enjoying a 40% discount on my current Samsung. Conversely, their retail outlet at The Mall, Bristol, is staffed in the main by badly trained dullards interested only in selling phones and not helping with resolving queries. Across the level at Apple and you're in a different world with helpful, knowledgeable staff willing to solve problems and give advice.
  2. How long before the ban is extended to all flights? Close one avenue and determined people will find another. If attacks in the streets of Paris, London etc are regarded by terrorists as legitimate targets then why not flights between the two? Indeed why not any flight in the world of the infidels? This current ban may well be the sign of things to come.
  3. Was in Vancouver, Canada, recently. Bars and restaurants display signs bolted to external walls and next to doors and windows which state No Smoking within xx feet of these openings. Penalty $$$$. Where there's a will there's a way.
  4. +1. I did try a search using names of individual / court etc without success
  5. Hypothetically speaking! In the event that the SNP were to win the referendum and disengage from the UK would it be possible for either, either, or, The Orkneys, The Shetland Islands and The Hebrides Islands to say it's not for them. That they wish to remain aligned to what remains of the UK. Or, declare UDI. And, in that event, where would the oil field boundaries lie?
  6. Thanks for the offer Munzy. A mate was able to do it for me.
  7. Perhaps it's time to change provider or, at least, tell your current provider you're going to leave them and why and see what they offer. In Carphone Warehouse in January (Wife changing mobile) and they started to talk new broadband deals now available where there are no line rental charges. I was out of contract with TalkTalk so rang them for PAC No and told them what was on offer (They know what the competition is) and they immediately offered 12 mth contract for same bundle but without landline rental. I saved £17.00 mth. Well, I thought I did until Mrs B said Good, that can pay for my new mobile!!
  8. From their experience is anyone able please to recommend a free video / Movie cropping tool? The issue is a need to crop out a section of a MOV file from my dash cam. The cam records in 3 minute files but the file in question is too large to email and I only need a small, but important, section of it. Thanks
  9. Being in the West Country I've no idea sorry. But a starting point may be to google "UK Guntrader dealer search" the website then offers select "county" and you get choice of East or West Sussex - you can even search nearest (by selected miles) to your postcode. You can then start a ring around and if your first victim doesn't offer a try before you buy you can ask him/her whether they know anyone who does. Just a thought. Good luck.
  10. My wife and I are what I believe are called independent travellers i.e. we do our own thing. Having planned this years big trip we thought of an early week away so booked a package holiday to Tenerife. We're there now and it's quite good value. But, what I had forgotten about these packages is how a great % of the masses behave at breakfast. There's a polite sign on entering the restaurant asking guests not to take food out of the restaurant. Yet I was gobsmacked by those who daily put rolls, fillings, fruit, made up sandwiches etc into their bags when staff were unsighted. The restaurant has 100 tables and the hotel is almost full. So, if a good % of guests take food then there's a risk of less availability for those comiming to breakfast later and a lot of food is going walkabout with attendant cost implications for all. What is it with theses people? Why can't they just pop into a local deli and buy rolls etc and enjoy the experience. Having paid for their holiday are they so poor that they have to steal food? Rant over. Catching the local bus to La Laguna when I will have forgotten this - until tomorrow morning!!!
  11. Someone has to fall for this one so I will !! And your reason is?
  12. I never have these problems. If the callers number is logged in to the landline phone memory the screen tells me who's calling. I answer those. If The caller is not in the system I do not answer. If it's a genuine caller they leave a voicemail to call back. If it's a scammer they disconnect. Over time the number of scammer calls have reduced. They're getting the message.
  13. Never used UV paint so cannot comment on benefits or otherwise. As far a decoy painting I use art Acrylic Matt water based paints obtained from art and craft shops in local shopping malls. Black, white purple and red. Print off good pigeon piccie from google images and off you go. Black and white for various grey tones (obviously) and a V light touch of added purple in places. When decoy dry add a hint of red to grey and blend in breast of full bodied decoys. I like creating artwork. I did a paint match with B&Q. I cropped out required colours from image printed off but my mistake was to print on photo paper. The paint mixer and I felt the reflection off the gloss paper badly influenced the match so if you go down that route print off on ordinary paper. As far as dead birds are concerned the farmer I shoot for took one in to his supplier and asked for pigeon grey paint. The response was that "there as many shades of grey as there is manufacturers, do you have a sample?" He put the dead bird on the counter. By request he's had to change his supplier!
  14. Spoke with BASC on this very issue a couple of years ago. Their response was a combination of the above in that it was the executor of the will who should request S7 permit. I must admit that we didn't discuss those who die intestate because I knew there was a Will in place. Perhaps, in such circumstances, it should be as Charlie T advises it should fall to the widow. I am happy to say that for the case in question the need did not arise and he's still walking the planet, albeit more slowly than before.
  15. It is sometimes the case on PW that an opinion is voiced as if it is fact and when asked for chapter and verse the contributor goes quite! Is this yet another example?
  16. Nothing nicer on a Sunday morning than lying under your car with your King D1ck in your hand.
  17. Why not give Just Cartridges a ring. With their mix / variety / volume of cartridges they may be able to put a slab of mixed boxes for you.
  18. Unless you are something of a natural comedian then I recommend you avoid jokes. How many of us have attended weddings where the best man's attempt at stand up has been nothing more than a cringingly embarrassing waste of space.
  19. Further down forum topics is the "craft and DIY" section. Scroll through it to find Easy Night Vision. There are 12 pages of advice and guidance, photo's, wiring diags and parts lists from PW colleagues. It was from there that I took the plunge with great success. Good luck.
  20. Not in any way challenging these comments but seeking a pointer please to where it's written down in black and white. The reason being I never know when I may need it. Forewarned is Forearmed as they say. Thanks.
  21. Don't know where you are in the South West but give Ivan a call at Teague Chokes. Nigel has retired but still does gun fitting so you could combine the two.
  22. Colin, advice please. I too have own made spotter and add on but every time I crank them up for distance my face lights up like a Xmas tree from screen glare. How do you overcome this problem? Thanks. Bob.
  23. Whenever I come across the words mole catcher it reminds of an early Jasper Carrot sketch "The Mole". Just found an animated version on YouTube. Still makes me laugh. Ps. Yes, pity about the dying breed.
  24. I've one in 20 bore for about the same timeframe. Not put as many rounds through it as you. Both barrels.are as clean as a whistle.
  25. Until 3 yrs ago I dived for 20 yrs in the Uk with my own dive RIB. From experience I relied on "Windinder". I suspect many sites use the same basic data but it's the forecasting algorithm (if that's what it's called) which gives Windinder the edge over others. Winfinder allows you to change a number of the settings eg wind speeds from knots to kph to mph or to Beaufort scale. Temperature can be changed fro F to C. Give it a look see
