  1. Had a close look and can’t see any obstruction.
  2. Didn’t realise that - thanks Andy.
  3. I’ve come across one of the above but the brass 9mm cartridges I have for it will only go half way into the chamber. I’ve given it a clean and it looks clear but I guess it’s clogged up in some way. The barrel states 9mm as do the cartridges. Any ideas?
  4. One very simple thing to slow things down. Surely it’s not beyond the capabilities of the French authorities to clamp down on the sale of dinghies. There can’t be that many manufacturers/suppliers but the will to do it is not there.
  5. Reminds me of a story a friend of mine who was a bookmaker at the time with several betting shops. He went into his bank to draw a substantial amount of money out. The girl behind the counter asked him what he needed the money for. Affronted about being asked about his own money he replied in a loud voice so that the rest of the customers could hear “ My wife insists I pay her every time we have sex” . The girl went bright red and gave him his money!
  6. I have used Phillips for plastic fouling and found it it be very effective but best left to soak in for a while before brushing through.
  7. Thank you. I guess I’ve been collecting a few Berettas and take a pride in finding nice ones and looking after them. Also have silver action original 682 32” sporter of which there were not many 32” brought into the country, a 682 32” xtrap in original condition and another DT10 trap gun which I have sporterised. Finally I have a 391 urika 2 gold 32” auto.
  8. DT 10L in superb condition for sale. Lovely unmarked woodwork and barrels in excellent condition.Nice high stock for this type of gun at 32 comb and 40 heel. Length of pull about 15” at the moment with a large pad on which can easily be adjusted by a different pad and moving the trigger if need be. Comes with case, chokes, spares parts. Serviced by Tim Greenwood. Has been sitting in my cupboard hardly used for a few years. £4000
  9. You did well to find one with that low mileage. Mine is above 120,000 and been a brilliant motor.
  10. I have a Brennenstuhl one which is excellent and has different settings for wood and concrete. Don’t recall it being very expensive. I bought it after I got caught out burning wood which was too damp. Cost me £900 for a new chimney liner as the old one was completely blocked up with sticky tar - expensive lesson. As mentioned if the wood is stored in a shed for a year then there should not be a problem anyway but it’s a useful tool as a double check.
  11. I had been taking it for a few years for acid reflux. Hadn’t had any side effects that I had noticed but I did read a report recently that it can stop the absolution of essential vitamins so I am now only going to take it when I have about of acid reflux rather than all the time.
  12. Another one for the Freelander 2, I’ve had one for twelve years and it has been brilliant.
  13. I’ve had 5 jabs as I’m on immune system suppressants. The first four were Pfizer and the fifth one was Moderna and two days after came down with covid. Got over it but left me with a cough for about six weeks.
  14. I read something years ago that if you put too many rats in a cage together then they start eating each other. That’s what’s happening with us - too many people in the Country! The roads are overrun with traffic. The demand on the NHS and doctors surgeries and dentists is such that they just can’t cope. Try ringing banks, and service companies etc, your number xxx in the queue and very lucky to eventually speak to anyone let alone get anything done. No one has the balls to sort it out and I’m afraid it’s only going to get worse.
  15. We live in a fairly remote location in the Lincolnshire Fens and have been delighted to have had two broods of four swallows off from nests in our front porch. We left the only nest from last year but the swallows decided to build a new one opposite it for the first brood. When those four had flown the parents then proceeded to successfully rear a second brood of four in last year’s nest which left the nest about 2 weeks ago. It was fascinating when the youngsters were about to fly we were inundated around the house with about 50 swallows as if they were trying to get the young ones to fly. The other thought I had was that it might had been a tactic to confuse any attacking sparrow hawks away from the vulnerable young birds.
  16. Seems like one minute she’s a beautiful talented young woman and the next minute she’s gone! 😥
  17. Then young farmers will need to contribute cartridges like they did years ago. You don’t see farmers riding a bike😂
  18. There are obvious ways to cut costs, if it’s a practice clay shoot then only shoot say 50 instead of a hundred. That’s what us old fogies do on a Wednesday - one or two pairs on a stand. We still have a good time. As regards pigeon shooting again only take a certain amount of cartridges if you are lucky enough to have shot them then go home and leave the pigeons for another day. That what I used to do years ago - take 100 shells and that’s it.
  19. What we are talking about is illegal immigrants. We are only a small island and basically we have too many people already. The roads are jammed up with traffic. The NHS is being overrun. There is a massive shortage of housing. Social services are really struggling especially with the elderly and mentally ill. We need to get the people who are already here to fill the job vacancies. Controlled legal immigration is fair enough but illegal immigration is not.
  20. No need to worry the European Court of Human Rights have done the job for you! Amazing isn’t it when the judicial system works at the speed of light for these people with no expense spared. For you or I to try and get something through it takes months/years at horrendous expense. Doesn’t seem right really does it!
  21. I would try stopping the dogs free running and keep it on an extendable lead and give it Joint Aid or equivalent. Can take a long time and a lot of patience but rest is a great healer.
  22. I too have been a bit confused by the Allsport. From what I can gather it is offered in the Summit and Invictus models and mainly relates to the stock which is an adjustable montecarlo. In each model also you can have it with a flat or raised rib. The Invictus with raised rib in 32” would be my choice - not that I need another gun!!! 😂
  23. Wow that looks like big sleeper - what a beauty!
