  3. get some reflector tape... traffic cones have it on
  4. Just completed a NEBOSH NGC 1 & 2 dont forget that you will need to do a full risk assessment work carried out by expectant mothers. And possible areas in the work place that could affect either them or the unborn child The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulation 1999 section 16/17/18 edit for a silly spelling mistake
  5. If i had of seen that, i would have parked so close to the drivers door they could not have got in, not even a twiglet Gone inside got myself a coffee and waited. Then gone out to the driver and make a polite comment.
  6. Don't forget if your having power to lay suitable cable before the base goes down. Just a thought.
  7. Night shift workers suffer a higher risk of heart disease. Fact !!! Impacts on family life and social life. Personal health is affected in other ways also. You do receive an allowance but does it fully compensated for the negatives??? If I could stop perm night's I would and manage with the little allowance
  8. Nearly right its the centre muscle, if you can imagine a beef chop simalar to a lamb/pork chop remove the middle eye piece of the fore-rib/ fore-chine or rib roast (you will find its called various things up and down the length and breadth of the country) its that middle eye piece, depending on the fat mass/content of the beast it may depend on the amount of fat running throught the meat.At times you may find that there may be a large amount of fat showing like in the picture then other times allot less if any at all,its all dependant on the carcuss. As far as explaining to a novice there are so many ways to decieve its not that easy to explain what your getting is actually what you think you should be getting. I actually had an issue with trading standards along time ago who could not decide whether a piece of steak was actually fillet or topside, it should of been fillet, they actually sent it for testing (checked muscle fibres ect and agreed it was not fillet. 1 nill to me i was compensated from the restaurant. Not may i add with a free meal, i would not dare
  9. Caravans need to be well chocked due to the rolling hills, but you will be suplied with a special PW chock as last years caravan'ers were, but you will need to place an order before arrival.
  10. Unless you have actually done anything driven shooting like that shown in the video i can partly understand your opinion. It is as you say, not 100% guaranteed "good kill with one shot" but like all us sporting shooters we do what we can and try our best, or we should do As far as a "fair ground shoot" believe me its far from any fair ground tin-can ally i have seen, there is no fence apart from the local farmers fence erected to try and keep the "Wild" Boar out and stop them creating more damage to there crops and thats most probably miles away. The thing is about this type of shooting is the total unpradictability of it all, you can go out on these types of shoots and see nothing at all that ressembles a pig.
  11. i've been out of butchery now for over 11 years a few places i've eaten have tried fobbing me off with cheaper cuts, i allways comment and ask what cut is it as i asked for X,Y,Z type of steak. I have refused to pay, walked out and on a few occasions even taken the bottle of wine for compensation, and told them why. It can be difficult to tell for those that would not know a bit of thick flank from a piece of tenderloin (fillet) or LMC for a piece of topside. The best one was having fillet replaced by a slice of topside it was well funny at the time, i was with a fellow butcher having a meal before going out on the pop, we couldnt believe it. It was soon changed and a free meal for both, the wally's didnt realise we actually supplied them with there meat, £300-400 worth of sirloin and hip-bone steak a week plus £150 of fillet. well done :good: i just ignored it
  12. Looks nice sparkie. will def need to have a go at Catton Ive got a lovely scope that will look nice on that, A VX1 3-9x40 just the right size for the range you'll be shooting at
  13. The wording on your ticket will say something on the lines of... 22rf and 17 hmr shall be used for shooting vermin and for zeroing on land deemed suitable by Chief of police. Fox are classed as vermin, so in court it would not have very strong foundation's. You will have more of a problem if found guilty of causing suffering by using an inadequate caliber.
  14. Ase utra... Rabbits don't hear much after a little 17 pill contacts there bonce. They can be stripped AND only £65 ish
  15. Can't you just neck size, that will reduce the case stretch And only FL when its really nessasary,ie; when its starting to get a little tight closing the bolt
  16. And me . but mine is a mighty.. Very quick to recycle due to the short bolt lift, you should be able to get a few rounds off at them Fox's while there running
  17. Always take one last look behind you, the little ******* try and sneak up on you. Nice one.
  18. Cheers folk. I would if liked to take my mighty 30.06 but allas it's as I said scopeless.
  19. Sorry yes correct. Min 50gr bullet and min 1000 flb hornet is a little shy of both ;-)
  20. Yes it is legal !!! muntjac can be taken using 22 cf , must be on your ticket aswell. A little more reading I think.
  21. Watching this post and also sifting through the normal bs, i am also thinking leupold vx3 as recomended by people who actually have an archer At the moment i have a Z4i and Z6i on both rifles that are donors for an archer but i think i can see a scope change coming pretty soon for the rifle for lamp shy Fox's and am leaning towards the leupold.
  22. Not that much holdover I did manage to get out of the the arm chair to shoot it. I did wonder about taking the "mighty" but declined as at the mo it is scope'less as the Z4 is the actually on the M55 at the mo, just until i get some night vision sorted. They have been around here for some time now, just not on my permisions. I bagged this on someone elses ...... well if they dont go,spend there shooting time in the pub instead of shooting it could have been them and not me with a load more sausage to make. I got an invite to sort a problem out and get a result thats what happens. edit to add;;; the M55 is not the motorway, for those who dont know
  23. Yes Stu only 2 miles from my back door.
