You could well be right On a recent walk up day shooting with a couple of French guys I took the first bird well out and was well chuffed then realised the selector was on the top barrel But it's a Lincoln 16g and the selector is the opposite way round to my other guns But reverted back to bottom barrel first and had a very successfull day Better still outshot the French guys 10 to 1

It's all down to personal preference When i first went for an o/u i looked at Browning and Beretta because everyone sugested them At the time There was no Beretta in the shop that fitted me nor the gun instructor I went to another shop and bought a Browning B525 and later a Browning citori white lightning 16g and having pursevered for 5 year came to the conclusion they do not suit me having lost my confidance Bought a CG Magnus and all confidance resumed Totally different gun Having bought 8 CG's and still own 4 I would recommend them This CG in question emulates the diversification this company can emulate where one can adjust the gun ones self if the action needs tightening up after god knows how many 100's of 1000's of cartridges are fed through it *********** tests all guns and does reviews on them in sporting mags But he owns and shoots CG's himself I own the same CG Essex special edition that he test fired and reviewed for a mag review For some reason i am not allowed to mention names as it's been marked out sorry M.Y

Lincoln guns were made by Fabbrica Armi Isidora rizinni ( F.A.I.R ) Brother to Emiliou and Batista Rizinni ( who have / had their own factories Batista still going strong making fine guns Emiliou from memory married into the Fausti family of sisters ) which were imported by David Nickerson of Lincoln. Hence the name Started up some 25 / 30 years ago with a Lincoln no2 that set the presidence for all their future guns I have just sold my no2 side plated Lincoln with nice engraving and lovely walnut woodwork Now imported by John Rothery This gun has been made for sporting clay shooting with the idea of keeping the barrels as cool as possible I have seen the odd gun that looks similar but not many around Do you intend using it ?

You'll find on fixed choke guns the bottom barrel has the more open choke and the tighter choke on the top I was lead to believe it is to reduce muzzle flip I always fire bottom first unless there's a target well out in front heading towards me use the tighter choke then the open choke as it nears if first miss's

Perhaps you should've said that at the start under heading " Lesson Learnt" Human error on both sides and the shop has done it's best to rectify the situation and luckily no one was hurt you especialy Put down to experience and enyoy your shooting in the future Be safe ATB

Perhaps just another marketing ploy same as cartridges Loads of numbers implied to the same gun Just a quick look on GT and one will find in excess of 2500 Brownings and Berreta's each with more numbers than a telephone directory I was asked a couple of years back to find some flush fitting chokes for a mates' mates beretta I had to google and troll through all info to find what the hell i was supposed to be looking for. Not being a Berretta person i had'nt a clue what the hell i was looking for After research i managed to locate some, Thanks to a nice PW member No disripect to Browning / Beretta owners but it's a mine field

Spot on All game guns or most for game were and are 1/4 and 1/2 choke I have a John Macnab highlander fixed choke 1/4 and 1/2 i also use multi choke guns and for game the same 1/4 and 1/2 in any guage Only time i change is for the odd clay day where i open them out depending on the lay out ,but am not a clay shooter The continental guns were always renowned to be tighter choked so perhaps that's why your son's gun patterns / handles better but more so it fits

That's me that supplies your willie insurance and it has just expired Have you got your lasses mobile number

The original OP was for an axe to split logs Do'nt think it was angled at some expensive log splitting machines on the back of tractors Best hand axe you can get ( if possible ) is an old one with an hickory shank The metel is by far more superior to modern steel I have two and must've been handed down through generarations and do the job perfect Go round some sales or car booties and you'll pick one or two up cheap as chips Let's face it the young generation would'nt know what it's for or how to use one, let alone any other hand tool unless it has a key pad and a battery

Was that before during or after

Just had one yesterday They informed me that the insurance on my washing machine is due to expire Reply That's odd i have never had insurance on it so how is it expiring Ohh ehh would you like it insured and is it still working and so on and the rest the mods will not let me put on here One of the best ways is when they call and either ask for you by your name or are you the owner just say no he/she is not in and you only looking after the house or please wait i wil go and find him / her and lay the receiver down and let them wait ( if you have time ) and let them wait for as long as you can They will still be there then hang up after as long as you can

I do the same and leave the checkering when topping up I also remove the forestock and do the inside to maintain water proofing

Then just to fill a bit of air space they keep going back to the Dales for catch up on the famer and his wife with loads of kids " Boring" Not that i watch it very often but when i do these always seem to be on which is possibly why They did one around here shown over Xmas which i missed But most of the so called regulars at the local on the programme are the very ones you never see at the pub normally

The estate i beat on DOES NOT bury their birds either What we and the guns do not take They are collected by the game dealer Christmas has come and gone Where are all the millions of turkey & chicken & goose carcasses gone haha Into the bloody wheely bin and into landfill to be buried
