  1. It's the ESP which switches off when in 4L in the Ranger, there's no switch for Traction Control
  2. Are we talking stability control ESP or traction control? ESP should be switched off in sticky situations as it has a habit of reducing power to the wheels, whilst traction control will brake spinning wheels to transfer torque to wheels with most traction.
  3. For towing and comfort, can't beat a V6 Amarok.
  4. I use a non stick plastic press, have no problems with cleaning. I use Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce to bind the burger. Press is useful for stuffed burgers, if I’m having a bbq I do some stuffed burgers with mozzarella and chillies.
  5. Honda, all day long...
  6. I put Austone AST71 tyres on an identical trailer, they were around £54 each,
  7. I spray with Napier Gun cleaner, leave a couple of minutes then pull through a couple of times with a bore snake. My barrels are gleaning and just like new.
  8. My Gran's homemade rice pudding with a skin on top when it came out of the AGA
  9. Had no problems with my 2016 Ranger, the 3.2 litre is a bit thirsty but it's worth it for the low down grunt.
  10. Plus 2 I'll continue with Ranger Wildtraks until Land Rover starts to produce working vehicles again!
  11. 22mpg is not good, I average 27mpg in my 3.2 Auto Ranger with 285 AT tyres.
  12. BFG all day long, if they did the M/T for 18'' rim I would prefer them as they are as good on the road as the A/T but offer more bite off road. Most other brands have weak side walls compared to BFG, have less grip off road and they don't last as long or have the look.
  13. Td5 sounds better, but tdci all round better package.
  14. Mr Muscle oven cleaner works a treat, spray on, leave for 5 minutes and wipe off.
  15. Depends on the age, and what you are using it for. Second hand I'd say the Mitsubishi is better value for money you get more for your money.
  16. Does anyone know if the Duddon Valley Gun Club still exists and if so, who's the point of contact?
  17. To be fair, it was better than I was expecting.
  18. Mobil chokes on the game, optima chokes on the sporter.
  19. When I was younger, putting my girlfield onto my insurance as a named driver reduced my insurance greatly. The Insurance industry think that a young man in a serious relationship, is a much safer risk than a single carefree young man who isn't in a relationship.
  20. I thought he had already retired, in the 1990s.
  21. Mountain out of a mole hill, most of these practices were within the law at the time and David Cameron has done more than previous Prime Ministers to close the loop holes. What is needed is a fairer tax system i.e. one low rate of income tax for all that doesn't penalise success or hard work. That way there will be less incentive to hide earnings and income tax receipts may increase. If past Governments where more realistic with their spending plans instead of implementing "tax and spend" polices and throwing money at Welfare and corrupt overseas projects people again would be more willing to pay tax. Finally Corporation Tax should be abolished. If large multinational companies want access to the 5th largest economy in the World (which they do) they should pay a small percentage of Sales Tax on all sales made within this country instead of siphoning it abroad.
