Well I've had a lot of cars in my time, I've owned 28 and also had 6 company cars in the 41 years I've been driving, so it is difficult.

Fun cars were the Alfasuds 1.3ti and 1.5ti, Alfa GTV6 - proper one rwd, not the fwd Fiat apology. Very capable car was the Sierra 2.9 4x4. For outright silly grin on my face from its acceleration has to be my 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo that's been chipped and wastegate modded I've owned it 12 years although don't drive it much now - too much of a struggle getting in and out. For comfort the Range Rover and current Volvo XC70 have to be top, driven both to Italy in a day (two drivers) with not the slightest twinge of backache etc after the journeys. Craziest buy was the Chrysler 180 - I bet not many of you know what they were - I was young and had money burning a hole in my pocket. That was closely followed by a Citroen BX DTR Turbo that had as many head gaskets fitted as it did miles to the gallon.

Whatever I've bought has always been the best thing since sliced bread according to the salesman - and the worst car ever made when I've come to sell it

Has anyone had a favorite car or bike...

Yes Peggy my beautiful caspian blue '89 Range Rover Vogue SE I don't

suppose I'll ever own a car that ticks every box again. It had full

leather electric seats, power roof , windows, aircon the door cards

had burr walnut inserts to match the dash and console. Cruising

a very respectable 24mpg at  motorway(warp) speeds, in traffic

it was like being wafted along in a gentlemans club with either the

V8 or Pink Floyd providing the music. Unstoppable off road with

no drama. Sadly a divorce and a change to working days made

her no longer affordable.

My best car ever is tied between my 01 Audi S3 that was tuned to 290ish bhp and my 03 Audi A4 Avant 2.5 V6 TDI Quattro, both awesome build quality and fun to drive

Favorites for fun were a MK2 XR2 with an RS Turbo engine conversion running on cossie management i built, that was silly quick lol. Oh and a transit van we put a cossie engine in lol :good:

My favourite car so far is my Mg Zr Turbo diesel, its been played with quite a lot and is chucking out 160ish hp and 280-290ft/Lbs of torque.

Takes a good car to keep up with it.... And being a DIESEL, it doesnt get headgasket problems!!

I have just bought an Audi S3 on a 2002 plate, its quickly becoming a car close to my heart............ from 225hp to 270 with a simple remap and exhaust system is awesome!!

Best bikes would be my 650 Katana back in 1982 probably followed by my ZZR1100. I have had quicker, lighter and more modern bikes but whatever you buy you can't get rid of all the traffic and speed cameras that there are nowadays. Best car is probably the Mercedes Vito that I have now. It has rear seats, so all the family can go in it in comfort, air con, cruise control, parking sensors and all the extras. It carries the dogs, stuff for renovating the house, horse food and tows a two ton trailer with ease. Best of all it only costs me £4 a week for diesel for 27k miles a year motoring because it is classed as a van

my favorite car i ever had was an old vw scirocco 1.8 gtx, not particularly fast, but went round corners like it was on rails, really loved that car. 2nd was an old saab 900i, handled like a blancmange but nice and comfy.

my favorite bike still has to be my old z1000 that i rebuilt and mildly tricked up so it handled better.

Mine has to be my old 1965 Ford Zodiac Executive Auto in metalic gold - 19mpg and spent £16 a month on petrol and was out every night of week - Then I got married scrapped Zodi and bought Nigel Mansell's Moms DAF 44 estate - now that was a good car but Zodi had memories especially the leather front reclining seats.

Bikes -- My 1958 Triumph Tiger 110 followed by Suzuki GT550 triple - sold it after 20 yrs with 13k on clock and mint.

If only we could turn clocks back 40 yrs

I don't think I could name one favorite, there are a few of the many that I've owned that tick boxes for different reasons.

First car was a split screen Morris Minor with semaphore indicators, spent as much time underneath it as I did behind the wheel, loved it to bits though (first car I christened if you get my drift :good: )

The best driving car was a 1.3 Alfasud, in a world of Morris Marinas and Ford Escorts it was fan-bloody-tastic but if anyone tells you you can't see the process of rusting they have never owned an Alfa. :hmm::lol:

Two cars vie for best "sensible" car, a Renault 4 and a Citroen BX TD Estate. The BX was comfortable, spacious, economical and reliable and, if I was forced to have only one car for the rest of my time, would probably be the choice.

My last three cars have been Range Rovers, I'd coveted them since they were launched in 1969. Having never won anything more than £10 on either the football pools or the national lottery I could never afford a new one so I try to buy well second hand (current 2001 P38a dHSE cost the original owner £46 grand, I got it with 70k miles on the clock for less than 20% of that figure :P ) but my favorite, so far, was my first Range Rover a 1992 3.9V8 Vogue SE, it probably averaged 15 mpg but I loved that car, even on the odd occasion that it let me down.

OK, overall, No 1, best, favorite from the above (and the 20+ I've owned in between) is :lol::lol: V8 Range Rover :D:D
