markm
I have both, without a doubt go for the chammies. I paid £100 for my hunter balmorals 2 years ago on offer and they ain't even worth that. Soles far to thin and let cold in, grip not a good as chams, rubber becomes mis shaped after a few wears, very little support. The difference is massive, it's a shame but fact. Brad93
Le Chameau deffinitely. They are more comfortablke than my trainers and warmer than anything else. Buy cheap buy twice i always so. Done my first season in them, look like they just come out of the box I got the Viezernord ones for £135 at Ingatstone saddelry Centre in Essex http://www.ingatestonesaddlery.co.uk/produ...ch=Le%20Chameau
woodcock11
I have had both. Hunters are very very heavy and you are exhausted after a long day in the field. Being so heavy, they are not brilliantly comfortable either Le Chameau are supremely comfortable and can be worn all day and they keep your feet extremely warm. My wife & I both wear them and most of the guns & keepers and quite a few of the beaters & pickers up that I meet in NI do as well. I think that speaks volumes as Le Chameau are expensive and you need to think carefully before buying them. Mrs Sweepy, they are not a fashion item like handbags or shoes - this is serious grown up stuff! I have had a couple of problems with the pulls on the zips going but le Chameau have either repaired them or in once case given me a new pair of boots. It is a pity to have to buy French rather then - I think - Scottish but the former certainly win on quality every time.

al4x
Ok a different opinion here, and I've a set of the Hunters and have had a good years use out of them so far and they are great. The boot you're looking at if you can get them for £129 is the steal of the century, mine were slightly less but it was another offer you can't pass up on. They are on a par with the high end le chameau boots and with the leather lining you can wear them pretty much all year long. Don't confuse them with cheaper hunters as they are very different and having had various neoprene hunters and le chameau's in the past these are up there and probably more comfortable. You don't tend to get sweaty feet in them so you don't tend to get cold feet while standing about. Mine do about 3 miles a day walking the hound and so far have little sign of wear because they are so comfortable I have even been beating in them which I probably wouldn't have done if I'd paid the full retail of £270 or so.
