Couple of my favourites from sitting bull the famous red indian chief . Who was a very intelligent and canny man . Talking to a white settler he said , " my people keep warm by building a small fire and sitting round it , the white man keeps warm by dragging lots of wood to a big fire '. Directly after the battle of the little big horn he said , 'what have we started here '. Do you have any favourites ?.

Yes Harnser, I have some favorites. Here are a couple...

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.

"Albert Einstein"

And this one; Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.

"Theodore Roosevelt"

And this; eat right, stay fit, die anyway..

I have had a sticker with this last one, on my crash helmet for yonks.

No idea though if it is a famous quote, but I do agree with it..

Heard this in a relevant situation when working with some builders many years ago..

Having just been told off for wasting time the labourer said 'Rome wasn't built in a day',

the foreman turned round with the retort 'Only because I wasn't on that job!'

Amused me at the time and am guilty of using it myself many times.

Climbing the corporate ladder is like climbing a tree with a group of other monkeys; if you look down all you see is a smiling fool, look up and all you see is a**ehole(s).

Everyone is promoted to the level of their own self incompetance!
