Well i started out as a farm hand for three years. I also studied at kirkley hall college (agriculture and horticulture). I worked on both agricultural farms working with cattle etc and horticultural but mainly brassica and beans never got as far as wheat. Did ploughing , tilling etc too.

I then couldn't find a job on the farms locally so went on to window fabricating for a double glazing company, cutting and welding upvc and glass cutting etc.

Then on to a cobbler, before taking a position as a mechanic and ride attendant at the Spanish City in Whitley bay. I ended up on their fitters team in the end.

Barman at a local working mans club till i commented on some lurid comments made by a customer to a female staff member. I asked him if he would like to drink his pint or wear it and was sacked????

Spent a year working in a spray shop prepping cars.

Spent a year getting my nvq 1 and 2 in warehousing and distribution.

Worked in the eurofest villiage in 1996 for the footy

Then my best paid job was entertainment. I was a compare and did karaoke, disco's, bar bungee, mobile laser quest, foam parties, to name a few.

Did that for over three year then when i got divorced it all went to the wall and i got the most important job of all. A full time single parent of a child with heart disease , sprengels deformity , scoliosis , and aspergers but i still believe he has adhd too.

Worked for Go Ahead as a Bus driver enjoyed the work but had to leave for family reasons but would love to get another job on either the farms or buses.....

Had a few other jobs too but basically i took what ever job put a roof over our heads and food on the table.

Now i work as a warehouseman and FLT driver for a big supermarket. Money it terrible just over 6 pounds an hour but its a job.

Semi-pro musician for the first few years, also office work. Realised music was hard graft/rubbish pay and I wasn't as good as I hoped  , started Mental health Nursing in the early 70's - since then Nursing specialist/manager/teacher. Finished as specialist in substance misuse detox, medically retired in 2004, to count my bruises  .

Enjoying retirement - the pay is poor, but the holidays are great! :good:
