Devon Fox
Thanks God!!!!!!!! My only worry is that Stuart Pearce will take it on .... Lets get an English Man running the National team now, at least a resignation saves the FA a small fortune.

bullet boy
Fabio Capello is a brilliant Manager as his track record shows in Italy and in Europe but somehow couldn't manage England! The door is now wide open now for Harry!

Got to be another fat juicy bung involved .Bung to paid into the Harnser account in the off shore tax haven of north Norfolk ,wells next the sea . Many on here will know it well . Harnser . -Mongrel-
BBC News: Fabio Capello resigns from the England job.An Italian abandoning a sinking ship, who would have thought it? Not before time either, Harrys acquittal is amazingly convenient, but I'm sure it's justice taking its true course...so what's the odds against him being offered the job by the weekend? John Chisum
Useless as a chocolate fireguard as far as England are concerned. Hope Arry takes it.

daz2202
So Lampard for England captain? This overated numpty shouldn't even make the first eleven anymore, certainly not captain. Fabio should have gone after the world cup IMO and has cost the country millions since. Steve G prob has the credentials to captain this next championship but at his age he will only be a quick fix. Manager wise the candidates should only be English. The team is called England and the manager is a big part of the team. Pearce - has the spirit and drive but not experience or cv Harry R - must be fave but will he leave spurs right now while they are flying Beckham - next manager for sure Bruce- his name will be in the hat but I hope not Curbishly- prob capable of the job but can he cope with the pressure Hodgson - will prob want the job and is passionate but has he the skill and tactics ... I doubt it Pardew- wouldntthat be boring The special one- again a foreigner but we would prob win everything under his guidance and I would enjoy the pre and post match interviews Well that's my breakdown hopefully rednapp if not I don't know what we should do Arsene - not English but proven and must be bored at arsenal Edited February 8, 2012 by daz2202

shaun4860
So Lampard for England captain? Its time for a complete clearout of the older players. Goalkeeper - J HART Defence - L Baines, A Cole, P Jones, M Richards(captain) Midfield - A Lennon, A Oxade-chamberlain, T Walcott, A Johnson Strikers - W Rooney, J Defoe there you go, pick the bones out of that

I dont see why the job cant be taken on a part time basis by Harry though?, pay as you go manager even? no more of these massive contracts dished out to people who dont give one! fortune
Typical smooth build up for England to another tournament. It’s a poisoned chalice being England manager. There is nobody going to do a better job than any other recent England manager. The English League is too gruelling a campaign to follow with a tournament played usually in extreme summer heat. Capello should have told Terry that in view of the seriousness of the case; the captaincy will be taken away from him temporarily. If he's not guilty he gets it back... if he's guilty his international career is over! The media have slaughtered Capello, just like they will with the next England manager Will it be Redknapp? Didn’t he get West Ham relegated! AND didn't he jump between Portsmouth AND Southampton AND then to Spurs. Class act.
Azzurri
England have been the same old **** since '66 I don't know why you guys put yourselves through it year after year in the hope of them actually achieving something,it aint going to happen NO MATTER WHO'S IN CHARGE of the team....You have 11 individual players on the pitch, instead of a 'Team' "Three lions on our shirt" More like... "Lept on like a lion and got off embarraced" Azzurri
ordnance
Should have done one straight after the World Cup... I dont think its the manager that's the problem . If you judge the England manager success on wining the world cup then they haven't had a good manager since 1966. They have being up against better teams that is the problem. Drayman
What's the point! Scrap the England team, won't need a manager, save all the money and spend it on something worthwhile. Let's face it, they don't even get as far as a British tennis player
