JDog
You have my best wishes. It is interesting how so many PW members, whose preferred haunt is under a hedge somewhere, can turn their minds to console a fellow member in a time of need. I have read many of your posts with interest and I hope that you will continue to relate some of your experiences whilst your wife is recovering full health. alfa taf
We don,t know each other and we will probably never meet as we are thousands of miles away , but my thoughts are with you and your good wife. I went trough a hart attack some years ago and was kept alive by machinery when all hope seemed to be gone , yet I survived . Your wife is in very good hands and I hope and pray for you both that everything will be back to normal very soon. God bless you both. Anthony. Oli
Hope she gets well soon, I'm not a religious person at all but it think the words below are apt, we all carry the ones we care about from time to time as they do for us: One night I dreamed a dream. As I was walking along the beach with my Lord. Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, One belonging to me and one to my Lord. After the last scene of my life flashed before me, I looked back at the footprints in the sand. I noticed that at many times along the path of my life, especially at the very lowest and saddest times, there was only one set of footprints. This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it. "Lord, you said once I decided to follow you, You'd walk with me all the way. But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life, there was only one set of footprints. I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me." He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you Never, ever, during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints, It was then that I carried you."

Frenchieboy
Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts for Marlene. Unortunately I have just regained conciousness about 10 minutes ago after killing a bottle full of Whiskey when I got back last night. I have just this minute received a phone call from the hospital saying that Marlene has just this minute been transgered to Fairfield Hospital and that she is is good spirits. I will update you all as and when but for now I need to clean myself up and get myself together - The last thing Marlene needs is to see me with a hangover. It may sound strange but I really never knew just how much I loved her til, last night! It is at times like this that you realise just how weak and vunerable you are and right now I am in tears again so please forgive me for not writing more. All of your kind words have comforted and helped me and mean so much to both Me and Marlene! I am eternally grateful to you all and will never forget you! If ther is anything I can ever do for you please just say the word.

kent
anyone who has been there will tell you the same thing they will gladly trade places but look after yourself and trust in god and the hospital staff at manchester and I am sure she will pull through fine, its amazing what they can do now and can we all remember how important that air ambulance was in this instance when it comes to any fund raising
