I was out on my permission this afternoon and set up under an old Oak, It was quiet, not much happening, 100 yds away I see a single bird heading my way, it keeps coming and about 30 yds out I shoot, I watch it drop and am shocked to see it split into two! 'bloody hell' I mutter, I leave the hide and there on the field are two!.... yes TWO dead birds. Cannot work out how this happened unless the second bird was on the back of the first. I have good eyesight and there was only one bird!! I watched it fly in from 100 yds. Someone explain as I can't. And has anybody else had wierd or strange shots?

Four years ago I was decoying on stubble and a pigeon crossed in front of me which I missed with the first barrel and with a despairing swing I shot it with the second shot at about 35m only to see four starlings fall dead around the pigeon.

Years ago I watched a guy miss a clay and break it with the wad!

Last year I was shooting with my auto messing about with rabbit clays coming towards me and across and I missed the clay which was coming towards me and then shot the crossing one and the ejected empty broke the clay was rolling past me! I was amazed but I wasn't allowed to count it as a kill!

Did exactly that last week, second part of a sim pair was a looper, shot the teal, came back for the now dropping looper, fired and missed only for the clay to disintegrate at least a full second later as the plastic wad hit it!

i shot a 25 yrd crossing pigeon that dropped and so did a 80 yrd crossing pigeon behind it that i hadnt seen until it folded , several times ive shot rabbits with the shotgun over the years and picked up more than one , i shot two rabbits with one rimfire round , i shot the first one from the 4x4 window , it was a perfect headshot , the bullet passed straight through its head and straight through the head of the rabbit (that i hadnt seen) behind it , they both did identical and perfectly timed backflips.

my luckiest shot was the night that i shot a rabbit through the head and had a ricochet , the .22 bullet head came straight back at me and thumped into the ground beside me .

3 days ago I shot a rook flying into my decoy pattern out at about 15 yards, it fell down and lay there a good 15 minutes with out any movement at all, it then got up and started hoping off like nothing had happened. I thought about this for a few seconds then shot it again. It didnt move again after that.

I once shot a crow and hit it square on with 3/4 choke and 30g no5s in the form of eley hi flyers! It flew 100yds ish and looked fine, then it dropped like a brick stone dead! Was strange to see! :good:

A few weeks ago I shot a rat on some rafters, two promptly fell off the rafter and I stood there wondering why the other one had committed suicide???

thats just fabulous
