Well, I finally have WIFI in my cabin, so can get back on PW!

Wifey sent me these photos earlier of the new additions to our garden.

Five cracking looking cubs who currently living under our annexe :) It won't be long before the mum moves them on - same thing every year!!!

I know several members hate foxes - and there will be the same sad posts of 'only good fox is a dead one', but personally I like them!! The countryside would be a sad place without Mr and Mrs Foxy, along with their offspring.

Not bad photos considering wifey took them with her iPad while sitting in a garden hammock reading a book!!!

For the foxy haters, both neighbours have ducks and chickens which have never been bothered by the foxes - but they do help keep the trabbits down a bit :-)

flea ridden, mange carrying and thats before you mention any of the really nasty diseases they can carry, if your garden is large and they don't bother you then I can see they are entertaining. I can't believe your neighbours chickens and cats etc are truly safe though from the parents attentions they will be having to work seriously hard to feed them at the moment. I'm hoping we can "observe" a few tonight shoot.gif

We have foxes under the annexe for the last 4 years and neighbours have never lost a bird - not one!! If they did, I would block off the access to the annexe :-)

would love the chance to photograph those cubs,

Doc, I am back from work on 11th June for 26 days, you are welcome to come and try your luck. I suspect they will be there for a while yet.

We have some bantams and guinea fowl that live in the wood I shoot over. One feeder is kept full for them through the summer and they roosted in trees within 20 metres of that feeder. 20 metres the other side of the roost tree a vixen had cubs and never touched any of the birds. The earth was full of dead rabbits though.

Its luck of the draw, some get away with it most people that have chickens would disagree that foxes are harmless to them.
