Picked up this permission by chance Tuesday. Rang Roger the farmer last night to see if crows where still about, said yes a few but been busy with stock to take much notice. Asked if it would be ok for a early start this morning yes no prob Terry. :)

Got up at 5.00 had breakfast fed the dogs and made flask etc, gear all ready in car. Left the house about 5.40 for a 1/2 hour drive to the farm.

Parked up had a smoke still dark and very cloudy . Got to the gate way was open other day when i had a little look gate taller than me 6 bloody foot.

Could not undo the bolt :/ so over with the decoys, guns etc . Did not want to walk far ground sloping away and with my back aching like heck thought i'd put hide by a few trees i'd seen other day on the edge of slope as you can see in pic. :good:

Stuck up the hide out with the decoys about 9 full body and 15 or so shells of Paul Hart (The Pigeon Shooter) :good:

Back into the hide a cup of coffee and a smoke, a few came in very soon, had not finished my drink and smoke so they lived a bit longer.

Then about 7 ish they started to come in one after another :) ran out of carts in my bag 120 or so in no time. So back to the car lucky i put a 100 extra in the boot. Back over that bloody gate crows still going in and flying over the decoys. Back in the hide and a puff and a drink had no time before.

Then it was bang bang time again had some great sport dropping some high one's that fell behind me in trees in between the usual shots .

Ran out of carts again before 12.00 so back to the car Flat out to Jonathan at Mid Wales Shooting Ground like only about 1/2 mile away another slab of Trust no6 carts they where laughing plugs still in my ears, said though it might have been you up there. come on i said no time to talk  Back up the farm flat out over that bloody gate again and off i went again bang bang. Could see rain down the valley had no coat only my cammo thin hoody. Started to collect the gear and dead birds in Knackered not the word for it did not pick all down the slope or one in trees was a huge gully over the fence about 12 foot deep and 10 foot wide it drain of for the hills .Picked these in pic 173 at least 25 + in trees and about the same down the slope.

Called with Roger he was in the sheep shed asked how i got on said over 200 bloody hell when you coming again. :) Said i'd left then in a pile and said more on field said he would see to it later and let me know how many more i pickpost-40804-0-95382800-1380211064_thumb.jpg up.

A very fine day's sport and possibly the best write up I have seen from you. It was so descriptive that I could have almost been there.

Cheer JD :good: not much good at writing did not go to school much, not time for school with fishing shooting ferreting etc to enjoy more.:lol::lol: atvb Terry

Forgot to say in report seen 2 foxes first light heading to a boggy bit of land to the right of crow pic right down on bottom of slope, and a lot of rabbits on the farm track as i drove down in the morning in the head lights.

Cheers Simon + Ryan yes a very good mornings shooting. :good: Enjoyed it i must say will be up there again soon. Roger said when i spoke to him in sheep shed he lost about 10 ton of corn on the fields further down the farm to crows this year. Wished he had known about me sooner :good: will pay for all my cartridge as well when i shoot his farm. :yahoo:

A really nice chap and he knows a lot of my farmer mates in my area had a good old chat and a laugh . atb Terry
