Alpha Mule
Another worth having (esp. if you want avoid a drenching) is http://rain-alarm.com/ Also comes as an App for your phone, with a proximity alarm (so you can get off the hill before the heavy stuff hits). mikky
100 mph winds are currently affecting my underpants
Frenchieboy
It's quite calm here at the moment. The wind is certainly nothing to worry about and it's not raining even tthough the sky is very grey and dismal looking but nothing to what I was expecting to see when I got up. Hopefully the worst of the predicted storm will miss us. If it does hit with the vengence that is predicted I hope all of you that are effected stay safe and well, and don't forget to check on any elderly neighbours! - Just remember, property and posessions can be replaced, lives can't! junctiontwo
Oh hang on we have a change. BBC news has some woman reviewing the papers and now it's wind speeds up to 100MPH!
Kes
Boring update - no wind, bright sunshine almost cloudless sky. On the met office website gusts of up to 50mph only forecast but as above, winds in south (line from Bristol Channel to Humber) forecast to go as high as 90mph - where do they get this stuff and why dont they sing from the same hymn sheet? Either way from tonight it gets worse from 6.00pm until late monday. Good luck you lot - especially those in Essex ! Oh well, let's hope there's some descent sports on telly this afternoon!
