team tractor
How do you guys carry your ammo? I fill 2 magazines for my hmr so I have 15 shots but its an hours walk per lap so need more ammo. I've tried a pellet pouch but I'm worried about damaging the tip. The pot they come in is ok but they rattle and yes I've tried tissue in there

Dekers
try one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MTM-30-17-22-Rimfire-Bullet-Wallet-Holder-Ammo-Pouch-/170668510502?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item27bca2cd26 Do you have one, are they actually quiet and easy to load/access ammo? Its an interesting OP and I too usually fill magazines and chuck a few more in the pocket, the boxes the ammo comes in do rattle, not a massive problem to me usually, but I wouldn't mind a decent ammo box. Beretta28g
Mtm boxes are great. No noise and easy to load from/to. Imho worth the money.

bazzab
I have leather pinch open coin pouches. I load my mags up and pop few in the pouches. Keeps em together and silent. Bob on. And they were £2 each. Happy dayz.
Dekers
What's up with a pocket it's done me well for 30 years Deershooter So have I, but I've never been entirely easy about it, but there must be an argument for the pocket as I don't seem to remember having a problem in all that time! kent
I assume we are just talking rimfire? for these I fill a couple of mags and put any extra in a leather pellet carrier round my neck I used when FT shooting, it don't make them rattle and they don't pick up bits of all sorts in my pockets that way. I cannot be the only person that seems to always have little twigs, bits of leaves and various gritty bits of rubbish appear in my pocket as if like magic. snowmonster
I'm having similar problems finding something to carry 22 hornet ammo in. The boxes you buy it in are absolutely ****, I have an mtm box and their not much better, I look like having to go down the custom made leather wallet route unless someone knows different . deputy dog
I just use my pocket for my .243 ammo, it's all padded out so no chance of any damage. My .22 rim I've got 1 five shot mag and two 10 shot mags which I fill when going out and they usually last me a trip if I'm just having a mooch about. Deiseboy
I dont use my pocket because its easy for them to fall out of it and a pouch is easier to keep them together, just throw the pouch in the safe when i get home. I use a neoprene mp3 player pouch that I found lying around that zips closed, the colour is handy to find if i ever drop it anywhere. team tractor
By from john knibbs £8.50 posted So £5 everywhere else then . I refuse to use them as their rude and expensive . Solware tamworth is the way to go . I bought a hushpower off them and paid £30 over the odds at £371 and they wouldn't even let me off with the £1 :(
