Today I was told you can have a 100 shot mag if you'd like for any rifle . I said you can't but he insists . This guy is an RFD

I swear he's talking **** but prove me wrong plz

As far as i am aware there is no law which prevents us from having a 100 shot mag.

I'd say in this case the RFD is correct and its you that is wrong!

The Calico 100 .22 rifle had a 100 rd drum

There are also AR15 100 round drums available

The old .45 ACP Thompson SMG had 50rd & 100rd drums

I know some RFDs talk from their rear end at times (I think the trend is caught from some importers) but in this case your RFD is partly right....as the 100rd magazine for ANY rifle would be pushing the truth a little; it's not that such things are/are not allowed, it's a case of not all makes/types of rifle have such larger magazines made for them

I have enough trouble loading a 30 rd mag!

I've handled a Thompson with a 50 rd mag and they are very heavy, the 100 rd mags were really for static use. Due to it's position, the helical mag on the Calico actually balances quite well (from very distant memory). Practical use of such items is another matter. Far better off with smaller, cheaper, more reliable mags. and learning how to do a fast mag change - if you really need that sort of thing.
