Underdog
Today I left the saxo and hatsan at home but insisted on wearing abig knife! Not to just remain condemable but to open a holly bush out I spied in a small spinney. When I got done in the holly bush I relaxed taking photos and shooting a shotgun. I chose a shotgun to show any viewing anti that I believe in fair chase (what ever that is? I think it means chasing something down with a spear in one hand maybe......hey...wait a minute ). To make things more difficult I nearly tarred and feathered my self first thing but then decided just a flintlock should surfice. I shot one woodie, one squirrel, mis-fired on another squirrel and shot a crow. Non of the animals were chased and no pairs, just like yesterday err duckwise! Thats one duck, yesterday ONE duck, ok all got that now have we? In the pouring rain and sleet during the walk home I missed a flying (yes flying) pheasant (I wasn't chasing it, it wasn't in a cage and it could not talk so not tame, I think), well a mis-fire really. Not surprising how wet the firelock was! Over and out....yobbo U. Edited December 19, 2013 by Underdog

demonwolf444
Really.... what you got then? U. Going to view an unnamed original 12g percussion muzzle loader, nothing fancy, nice gun, but just prefer things with some history to them over the repro's. ( * Read "view" as "buy" ) I'll update you when i have missed something with it. James.

Mentalmac
Enjoyed that read :-), good shooting. Next time you should fire a cap gun to allow any animals the chance to escape and then give chase

Next time you should fire a cap gun to allow any animals the chance to escape and then give chase Or to even the odds, you may want to hunt with a pea shooter and split peas! You can ALWAYS try pterodactyl as your quarry! That way they can give chase to you
