camokid
hi all well over the last two years a have bred i good line of black leghorn bantams and finally got a lovely set of four birds all young and un related they where hatched this summer so still very young..well after having birds in the same spot for nearly 6 years ...it happened mr fox had taken all four birds last Saturday night .. i was a bit peed to say the least..not only would it be pointless to get some more birds as the fox is on the prowl it also got me thinking about my kids as they spend a lot of time in the garden there 3 5 and 2 and i really didn't want anything to happen so i decided to remove the fox..i have been baiting my lawn all week and he has been coming at all times night and day.. i had spotted the fox which was a large dog in the street at midnight in the week..yesterday morning he spent a hour in the garden feeding on a dead goose and leaving little brown parcels everywhere for me..but lucky for him i was at work..i got home that evening and set up a suitable shooting position from the upstairs window...i sat there for 4 hours and nothing but later on that night he came back.... it was midnight blowing a gale and hissing it down.. i rushed up stairs loaded the 22 and slowly got into position i gave a shout to the misses to turn on the outside light and there he was bold as brass on the lawn and with a nice quick silenced shot the culprit was dealt with...this was the view down to himimage hosting sitesscreen shot on pchow do i print screeni will keep the bait out for a week or so to make sure there is a not a vixen kicking about..very pleased i got himmany thanks andy Edited December 20, 2013 by camokid
