southern
Should've weighed in Monday but had no access to scales, so second weigh in after 12 days is 4lb loss. From Feb 17th I'm going to have to work a lot harder to lose/maintain loss as I'm starting a new job and it's office based, not manual labour... Well done everyone, keep going

bakerboy
Done better this week 6lb 4lb I am now at the weight I thought I would have been at the start of this campaign. So now is when the real hard work will start and the benefits begin I was surprised with the result, I had not thought I had done very well this week, especially having enjoyed a few beers and couple of biggish meals at shoot dinners, it must be a result of the lack of "grazing" opportunities during the day and the walking I have been doing. Strange thing about walking, they say it is good for weight loss, but I seem to work up, or perhaps walk up an appetite. Still for now it is onwards and downwards. Good luck to all on this journey . edit reflects bad math's , I only lost 4lb, 6lb in total since the start . Blunderbust
Well, another 5ib off for me, I can give myself a wee pat on the back and a . I am allready noticing that I can put on my old trousers again without having to struggle with the fasteners. I have not however managed to do any extra physical workouts, so must try to get out for that. I have not had alcohol since starting and have cut right down on bread and sweet stuff. Special K in the morning, Porridge or wifes home made brown bread sandwich for lunch, normal meal in the evening and fruit if I feel peckish in between. Seems to be working for me so I will stick at it.

shootgun
What's the secret everyone? which diet?
-Mongrel-
The eat less than you expend diet for me. Cut breakfast back to a small, healthy as poss for me portion. I take a packed lunch, generally a wrap rather than a sandwich, some fruit and a 'treat' small flapjack or similar. Then no snacking until a considered evening meal (no processed food, only 'real' meat, fish and poultry) which is protein and a couple of veg. If it's potatoes, pasta or rice, then portion control comes into play, pretty much a CUP full is the limit, or 3 med spuds.
