The Hogsback TEA is a really decent pint (though asking for a pint of tea in a pub can occasionally get you a funny look...), on at the Cock and Bottle in Notting Hill if anyone is in the vicinity.

The Prince Edward isn't far away from the C&B and keeps its Badger beers beautifully, but they haven't had Fursty Ferret (another truly brilliant beer) on draught since Autumn last year. They had a terribly average ale called Festive Fesant over Chrismas, which was very disappointing, but always seem to have the Golden Glory (lovely).

My favourite ales are the well-flavoured milds though, and the best one has to be Triple F's Pressed Rat and Warthog. Well worth seeking out if you're a fan of the dark stuff.

Regards,

I've tried a pint of Pressed Rat and Warthog in the Ye Olde Mitre in Barnet, can't say I was all that impressed. Slightly salty aftertaste and a bit "plain" for my liking, though it was very quaffable. (yes I keep tasking notes, yes its sad, no I don't care
