Chris Bb
I understand that the idea is that you use one screw from the original vehicle then claim that you've rebuilt an old car, you have the necessary identification. This is supposed to get you a newish tax exempt vehicle. I do believe that the powers that be are not that stupid and do expect any rebuild to contain a large quantity of original parts to qualify for exemption. You need a minimum amount of points and various parts count for different amounts
jgguinness
That's how you see so many "tax exempt Series Land Rover, coil sprung conversion" Landy's for sale, especially on eBay!

loriusgarrulus
A lesson to be learned. Always park above the high tide mark if leaving your car for any length of time. Mind you we know of some who left their very expensive new cruiser on a fixed mooring and wondered why it sank when the water level rose. bruno22rf
Wheeler Dealers to the rescue-Landy parts are cheap so if Ed was to spend the next 3 years rebuilding her and parts are less than a grand then selling for £1500 would give a £300 profit-simples. I love watching wheeler dealers but for the love of cars poor ed would be in a cardboard box yesterday 3 cars were sold and they made about a grand!
